Hi 권민석, (long live cut paste) After you save a workflow object, the server will re-cache its objects causing disruption to any connected users. Depending on the amount of memory and the amount of forms and workflow on your server, this can be for a significant amount of time. This is just one of the reasons you should never develop on a server that is actually used for production purposes... ;-) If you have a testing/dev environment, switch it to Development Cache Mode (look for it in the *Configuring* guide). This way, any connected users will have a better experience. There is a downside to this as well, it will affect overall performance of the server; you should NOT set a production system to Development Cache Mode. Re: Re : AW: RESOVLED Re: Long Time Saving Active Link
I see - are you really sure that Development Cache Mode is on? You'd have to restart the server after setting the checkbox in order for the setting to take effect. But as I mentioned, you will be experiencing other kinds of performance issues - maybe the one you mentioned - if you are running Development Cache Mode on a production system. If you'd want to take my advice, to prevent performance issues, please do not use this on a production environment. In my experience, Development Cache Mode is a GREAT thing for test or development servers with only a couple of users; but will be able to bring your system to a grinding halt when large amounts of users are connected. Also, I would strongly advice not import workflow objects on a live server during business hours. Please use a downtime slot in your SLA for this and make sure no users are connected to your server (for instance setting Admin-Only mode and disconnecting all connected users). And, of course, make sure to communicate your scheduled downtime to your users... Re: Re : AW: RESOVLED Re: Long Time Saving Active Link
The way I understand workflow caching is that with Dev Cache Mode off user operations have a higher priority over admin operations. Admin changes will wait behind user activity for a good time to make the change/recache (not sure on the exact logic of finding a good time). With Dev Cache Mode on user operations are not given precedence over admin operations. This sounds consistent with what you are experiencing. Try turning off Dev Cache Mode and restarting the AR Server process. HTH, Jason On Wed, Jun 10, 2009 at 2:31 AM, 권민석 mskwo...@gmail.com wrote: ** Hi Michiel Beijen Thanks for your help. Re: Re : AW: RESOVLED Re: Long Time Saving Active Link
Another tip for the save to happen almost instantaneously is that before saving your Active link or Active links or any other workflow such as filters etc, is that you click on the Server Name on the server window, so as to not display the list of the Active Links or the Filters or whatever it is that you are saving. The Admin tool is designed to perform a search after every save if you have the list showing. This search does not happen if you either close the Server window or click on its name so that the list does not show.. Then it doesn't really matter if you have details enabled or not.. Re: Re : AW: RESOVLED Re: Long Time Saving Active Link
Hi Everybody! This issue happens to us in the same. But in our case, When we save a workflow object , Server is hanged So any user cannot connect to the server. Our AR server/Admin tool Version is 7.1 patch 007 and CMDB is 2.1 Patch 005 Is anyone having this case ? Is it happened after CMDB install?
