You may also want to look at Legacy at http://legacyfamilytree.com. It allows you to link to your FamilySearch Family Tree and download (or upload) information) from and to your Family Tree online. You choose what data you want to include (sort of like FamilyTreeMaker and Ancestry). You can download a free version (without the FS FamilyTree integration) to see if you like how it handles your data before purchasing the full program for about $29.95. There are several options available that include manuals and other products. You can decide if you want to synchronize your data between the two-I don’t because of other people making changes on the tree. It's not difficult to find related records (baptism) of children from the same parents. Dano, Thanks for this information. I have printed it and will try to do the translation. The script is very light, so not sure how much success I am going to have... Are you somehow connected to these people as well? Or just a consummate researcher sent to me by God... My last surviving Uncle died a month ago, and he would have loved to see this connection (I think) since he was the one to pursue the Miguelina issue (all the other brothers, just legally changed their names to match what was on their social security records). The time frame is right and the Maria's parents are named. Maria, Miguelina is a female version of Miguel it was a way to distinguish from Maria this or Rosa that. As for the maternal grandparents, that is it. You can search for the baptism and hope it describes what happened. I Pico I have seen where the baby was dropped at the front door of someone's home or left on the street near someone's home. One call guess if the baby was from someone in the house or for other reasons.
