A user here just got a new BB (switched from AT&T to VZW) and I activated them 
on the new phone via our BES 5 server.

After activating, it moved over a POP account that he no longer uses and 
doesn't know the pw to.  Any idea how to delete it?  We created a Verizon BIS 
account and it isn't showing the POP account.  It must have been stored on BES 
somewhere...

I think the BES backs up BIS service books. Did you try deleting the service 
book for that account from the handheld?

I can confirm this, as when I re-activate my device the servicebook
for my old "@att.blackberry.net" email comes down even though that
account is no longer setup through BIS on my device. Deleting the
service book works for me.

I wonder if there is a way to remove this service book from BES so it
will not come down each time I reactivate?

You Need to contact the Provider under which the Pop Account has ben  
created. Otherwise the provider will keep pushing it.
If this was Done already And the Service Book came back then just  
delete the pop3 Service Books from the device and remove the battery.
