Question about moving PVC's. [7:28062]
Hey all. I have a question regarding Frame Relay PVC's. Let's use the below as an example; NY (dlci 300) | /\ (dlci 301)CH SF (dlci 302) In a Hub+Spoke topology, NY is the hub in this example. What I am unclear of is: is it possible for myself to reconfigure the routers to make CH (dlci 301) the hub and the rest Spokes? Or do I have to call the Frame Relay provider and have them move the circuits for me??? Thanks in advance for your help! -C This electronic mail transmission contains confidential information intended only for the person(s) named. Configuring 2600 series router for use with DSL [7:12643]
Hey all, anyone have any success in configuring a 2600 series router to use a DSL connection that uses PPPoE? Is this possible? let's talk about BGP! [7:10297]
Hello fellow successful Engineer's; For all you BGP gurus, I have a situation here. Currently preparing for my BSCN exam, I have a lab at home that I recently implemented BGP on. With only 3 routers, it worked fantastic! Then I decided that wasn't good enough and now I wanted to setup a Route Reflector. In a Hub and Spoke topology, I chose to make the Hub router the Router reflector and have the two spoke routers clients. Performing a show ip bgp neighbor on each router, displays the correct information and verifies connection is established. The problem is, not one router is learning any BGP routes! I will post my basic BGP configuration below just to verify that is correct. Any ideas on this challenge would be appreciated! Thank you! -C (Hub Router) router bgp 100 network 172.16.0.0 network 172.20.0.0 network 10.0.0.0 neighbor 172.16.0.2 remote-as 100 neighbor 172.16.0.2 route-reflector-client neighbor 172.20.0.2 remote-as 100 neighbor 172.20.0.2 route-reflector-client (spoke router 1) router bgp 100 network 10.0.0.0 network 172.16.0.0 network 172.20.0.0 neighbor 172.16.0.1 remote-as 100 (spoke router 2) router bgp 100 network 10.0.0.0 network 172.16.0.0 network 172.20.0.0 neighbor 172.20.0.1 remote-as 100 Message Posted at: http://www.groupstudy.com/form/read.php?f=7i=10297t=10297 -- FAQ, list archives, and subscription info: http://www.groupstudy.com/list/cisco.html Report misconduct and Nondisclosure violations to [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Actually I have configuring these once or twice. Save your money on the book below Phil and buy this one; http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0072123354/o/qid=993493780/sr=2-3/ref =aps_sr_b_1_3/104-1980751-0486302. That's the only way we learn. ConfigMaker will make you dumb for lack of a better word. You don't learn anything from using configmaker and it has its limitations. If you wanted to learn and understand how to subnet, would you use an IP Subnetting calculator or would you learn decimal-binary, binary-decimal conversions so you could do it on paper? In my eyes, that's how we learn. -C -Original Message- From: Circusnuts [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Monday, June 25, 2001 1:14 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: CBAC and Firewall IOS on 1720 ADSL Internet Router [7:9813] Have you tried ConfigMaker ??? - Original Message - From: john jones To: Sent: Monday, June 25, 2001 3:58 PM Subject: CBAC and Firewall IOS on 1720 ADSL Internet Router [7:9813] All, I am looking for configuration examples of CBAC and Firwall IOS 12.2.2. [7:9493] A loopback interface may be used for many purposes. You may use it as the end of a tunnel on a VPN configuration or you may configure it just to have a stable router-id for OSPF, for instance. You don't need to configure it. They are optional and you may use any address you want. If loopback intfs are following a specific address scheme in your network, then they must be planned for some specific function by who designed the network. You should not change it before knowing what function is this (what may be achieved by analyzing your configuration carefully). The subnet mask used on a loopback intf isn't also necessarily /24. This is frequently used though, to economize address space, since you don't need to differentiate network and host on this segment. In this case, host and network are the same and routing is performed with no problem. RE: e-mail encryption [7:9109]
PGP from Network Associates will do the trick. However, we are using it now and quite frankly, I wouldn't wish it upon my worst enemy! The most complex, troublesome and administrative disaster this software has proven to be!!! But, if you're looking for e-mail encryption, certificate servers, etc...And your company has about $12,000 and 4 weeks to spare, then PGP by NA will serve you well. -C -Original Message- From: anthony moore [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Tuesday, June 19, 2001 5:31 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: e-mail encryption [7:9109] Does anyone use any type of e-mail encryption for their entire company. RE: How to create latency? [7:7313]
SolarWinds.net makes this great utility called a WAN killer. We use it on occasion to flood certain links up to 150% of it's capacity to test our failovers. It's a fantastic utility and you can see and monitor it all in real time. -Original Message- From: David C Prall [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Saturday, June 09, 2001 7:04 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: How to create latency?
