RE: setting SPAN on Cat 1900 [7:30746]
You are welcome. I don't think there is a workaround to the problem that I mentioned. At least on my Catalyst 1900 I was not able to turn off the "port block unicast" and "port block multicast" on the monitor port. This meant that I did not see this type of traffic on my analyzer. The Catalyst 1900 doesn't call it SPAN but you can do the same functionality with the "monitor-port" command. You should first enter the command to enable the monitoring feature and then configure two parameters - the port where the analyzer resides and the ports that will be monitored. Good luck!
