Bug#692728: GeoGebra not free anymore (starting from version 4.2)

CC-BY-SA 3.0+, have now the NC attribute to[1]. Moreover, it doesn't
seem to be possible to just avoid them, because at least the language
files are required to build the program.

Oh, that hurts! :(

I'm really sorry of this thing and will get in touch with GeoGebra
developers to ask for clarifications and understand whether it's
 possible to revert this decision.

Hope they will understand DFSG's reasons. Please, keep me up-to-date with this
issue, I am very interested in it.

Thank you for reporting this bug.

I am a little confused by the behaviour you describe. By default, fortune-mod
installs fortune-min, which only contains english fortunes. Installing a
database of fortunes matching your locale doesn't imply fortune will only pick
those.

Anyway, I tried to set ru_UA.utf8 as a locale and to install your same
fortunes packages, but couldn't reproduce the bug.

Since several years and releases passed since this bug was reported, mind
checking if you still have this issue in the latest version?

Bug#711484: Composer support

As discussed on the ML [1], Composer Dependency Manager for PHP [2]
seems to get some audience, pkg-php-tools can be improved to support

 Two different solutions:
 - use Composer API [3] (this requires packaging it)
 - parse the composer.json file directly

i can try packaging it, although i haven't done much PHP packaging work
at all before except for initial work on wp-cli.

as far as i can see, composer itself is a self-contained
phar file, which can be downloaded directly
(http://getcomposer.org/composer.phar for the latest snapshot, or a
specific version listed on http://getcomposer.org/download/) or via a
PHP script which checks local PHP setup and a few other settings before
retrieving the phar via curl and saving it locally.

in terms of Debian packaging (at least as a starting point), would it be
ok to simply package the upstream phar file or would it be necessary for
debian/rules to actually include the full source tree
(git://github.com/composer/composer.git), run phpunit tests, build the
phar file from scratch, etc?

any pointers to best practices or examples would be very helpful.
(i am looking at pkg-php packages in anonscm.debian.org but i'm not sure
which packages there would be closest in terms of layout to a possible
composer Debian package... perhaps pkg-php/debpear.git?)

Bug#703042: w3af-console json importing issue

2013-03-14 Thread Andrea D'Amore
Package: w3af-console
Version: 1.0-rc3svn3489-1
Severity: important

When installing w3af-console on a system having an installed python
version = 2.6, python-simplejson doesn't get installed.
As a result the installation yields a non working w3af program, in order
to make it work python-simplejson has to be pulled in too.

This is due to the fact that simplejson has been brought into stdlib in
python 2.6 while changing its name at the same time from simplejson to json.

w3af-console should either be patched to import json rather than
simplejson or the dependency on python-simplejson should be declared
without the (python = 2.6) condition.

Bug#696877: installation-reports: Wheezy DI-b4-amd64-netboot-mini.iso from an usb stick fails trying to install grub

On Thursday 24 January 2013, Paul Bryan Roberts wrote:
I do like the idea that the grub install in most cases will be to the

would not work with my RAIDed machines.

yes, this was just the second part of my idea.

I was just dreaming about a *menu* of partitions to install grub to
(just to overcome the present problem) and set the *default* selection
on that menu on the /boot device or / device of the system just
installed, because for my experience this is the majority of the use
cases, so letting the installer propose a sane default would be
desiderable.

modifying the grub install default, autodetermining where to install
and *don't* leaving the final word to the user doing the install
is not the correct way, IMHO, to resolve this issue.

In addition, it would be nice to do a multiselection in this selection menu,
to be able to install grub in the boot sector of mirrored disks when using
the software-raid present in linux.

this was just my idea.

Bug#696615: Another use-case for this bug

2013-01-24 Thread Andrea Borghi
I wish to point to another use case where gub installation fails miserably.

In installing an HP DL360G7 I had to use an USB stick as the installation
media (the server has not installed a CD reader) AND another usb stick as
supplementary media for installing the firmware files for the broadcom
ethernets.

so i had:

/dev/sda1 install media
/dev/sdb1 supplementary media
/dev/sdc1 target media (smartarray 410 logical volume)

The installer installed grub on /dev/sda with root at /dev/sdc using
UUID so when I rebooted in the installed system, i had to remove the
supplementary media and the devices list was

/dev/sda1 install media (now with grub that points to the installed
system)
/dev/sdb1 installed system root

to correct the situation i had to boot the system as described, but removing the
install media stick (with grub) while the kernel was at initial loading stage,
so
the device scan was only

/dev/sda1 installed system

and when fully booted, running grub-install and the update-grub

and the problem was resolved.

(
Please note another thing (not for this bug) that created havoc in device list
is the fact that to load the non-free firmware when it is requested by the
installer
my auxiliary stick was not autodetected, so i needed to switch console, mount
manually
the stick under /media and then tell the installer to retry. This however
leaved the
aux sick mounted since it was absolutely not clear if the installer needed it
mounted
or not during the other stages of the installation, with the effect of
complicating
the device map for grub. Maybe an help screen in debian installer at the
prompt of aux
media that explain how this media must be prepared for the automounting and
 autounmounting would be very welcome.
)

what i think is needed to do is that the grub installation part in debian
installer
must do two things to catch by default the majority of use cases with minimum
user
intervention:

1. necessarily present a list of devices where grub can be installed. (And
maybe
automagically removing from that list the installation media device?)

2. set the default drive for grub installation to the drive that contains the
root
partition selected during disk partitioning.

and (but this is more an RFE that a bug) in the same menu make the devices
multi-selectable for when we are installing to a raid-1 volume.

Bug#695502: beef: Add support for EsoAPI

Didn't know about it. I like the fact that, unlike most specifications,
this one is so tiny one can actually understand it :)

I've attached a patch to add support for this API to the beef source.
I haven't yet done it for the version in experimental (1.0.0) yet.

I have taken a quick look at your patch and it seems completely
reasonable.

Unfortunately the standalone version of Beef is now considered legacy,
and no further development is supposed to happen there: all new features
have to be added to Cattle, where the Brainfuck runtime used by Beef is
actually implemented.

You can test via the attache esoapi-hello.bf. Before the patch it will
print EsoAPI required\n, and after the patch will print Hello
 World!\n

Hello World aside, can you point out an actual use for this feature? I'm
having a hard time coming up with one myself ;)

Cheers.

Bug#694312: ralink RT539b chipset support

2012-11-25 Thread Andrea Iacovitti
Package: linux
Version: 3.2.32-1
Severity: wishlist

My new hp g6-2251sl notebook hosts the following wireless network controller
(as reported by lscpi -vnn):

01:00.0 Network controller [0280]: Ralink corp. Device [1814:539b]
Subsystem: Hewlett-Packard Company Device [103c:18ed]
Flags: fast devsel, IRQ 16
Memory at c250 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=64K]
Capabilities: [40] Power Management version 3
Capabilities: [50] MSI: Enable- Count=1/32 Maskable- 64bit+
Capabilities: [70] Express Endpoint, MSI 00
Capabilities: [100] Advanced Error Reporting

The linux debian kernel as shipped with wheezy doesn't recognize this network
card even if it is supported by kernel module rt2800pci.
Support for this device has been added by upstream commit [1].

On my own i got wireless card working just fine by either:
1. (in a terminal) echo 1814 539b /sys/bus/pci/drivers/rt2800pci/new_id
2. recompiling wheezy kernel after adding device id as in [1]

Please consider backport commit [1] to the kernel shipped with wheezy.

Thanks in advance.

You can dget the .dsc file here:

The only issue I see off-hand is that the version is 1.3.5-2-1 which is.. a
bit odd! It should just be 1.3.5-2 I think. Perhaps I messed up the version
 in the changelog?

The download page [1] on code.google.com lists
cellwriter-1.3.5-2.tar.gz, hence the upstream version 1.3.5-2 and
the -1 Debian revision. Maybe you actually meant something like
1.3.5.2?

Bug#690214: cellwriter: New upstream release (1.3.5) available

2012-11-15 Thread Andrea Colangelo
Hi Michael!

On Thu, Nov 15, 2012 at 6:44 AM, Michael Levin risu...@gmail.com wrote:
Sorry it has taken me some time to respond, I've been sick with a nasty cold
 for the past two weeks.

Not a problem at all, and I'm glad you feel better now!

I've released a new tarball which should be missing
the .svn directories. I've also run the debuild command and uploaded the
resulting deb file. I'm running Ubuntu so it fails the Lintian check because
it targets unstable-- it's an invalid distribution in Ubuntu.

Indeed, unstable is debian only. Try launching lintian with option
--profile debian to enable a sort of Debian compatibility mode
that avoid such false positives.

You can find the new files on the Google Code page:
 http://code.google.com/p/cellwriter/downloads/list

And you can find an updated package on mentors [1]. As you can see, I
did some housekeeping, updating to dh9, source format 3.0 (quilt) and
DEP5. I also added a watch file (which is still nice to have there,
even if yourself are upstream) and fixed a pending bug. Most notably,
I added myself in the Uploaders: field, I hope you are fine with this
co-maintainership.

Please, take your time reviewing my work, and if/when you are fine
with it, drop me a mail, and I will ask one of my sponsors to push it
into archive.

Thanks you so much for your help!

It's a pleasure!

Best regards,
Andrea.

Bug#693203: puppet-common: Custom facts are not correclt executed on Puppet master

2012-11-14 Thread Andrea Biancini
Package: puppet-common
Version: 2.7.18-2
Severity: minor

Dear Maintainer,
The package for the agent, as provided, does not permit to facts defined on the
master to be correctly deployed and used on the agent side.

To reproduce the error, for example, I could define in the master a site.pp as
follow:
node puppetclient {
  include modulewithfact

  file { '/tmp/puppettest':
ensure = present,
content = $test_fact,
  }
}
And a module, under modules/modulewithfact, that has under the lib/facter a
file test_fact.rb as follows:
Facter.add(:test_fact) do
  confine :kernel = Linux
  setcode do
Content from the fact
  end
end
Given this configuration the expected behavior should be that the fact is
deployed on every agent (of course if they enable pluginsync=true in the
puppet.conf) and then properly executed.
So the file /tmp/puppettest should contain the string Content from the fact.

This is not happening, with the default configuration, because the agent is not
instructed to include in the facterlib path all the facts synchronized from the
server.
The problem is that puppet is not sourcing /var/lib/puppet/lib/facter for
facts, which is where factsync is writing them.

To avoid this situation I tried a workaround. I simply added to the
/etc/default/puppet file the following line:
  FACTERLIB=/var/lib/puppet/lib/facter
which permits to include in the facterlib the folder where facts from the
server are synchronized by the agent.
This workaround, however, will not work when calling puppet agent --test from
the commandline.

I am writing to propose you to add this line in the standard
/etc/defatult/puppet file in the puppet package from further versions.
I hope my example and explaination is clear enough.
Regards,
Andrea

samsung-heimdall seems like an obvious choice to me.

Don’t know whether using the word “Samsung” in the package name could

Upload the package somewhere (it doesn't have to be mentors.debian.net,
as long as download is fast enough), and give the link to the .dsc file
(that file is the result of a dpkg-buildpackage, and it links to the
.orig.tar.gz and debian.tar.gz files, which will be downloaded
 automatically by dget).

ok - my first attempt is now on mentors.debian.net
(http://mentors.debian.net/package/php-wpcli) and i can already see some
obvious issues that had escaped my attention when looking at lintian's
output in the terminal - including the fact that it seems that a git
submodule of the upstream repo (src/php/php-cli-tools) should probably
be packaged separately :S

the upstream git repo (https://github.com/wp-cli/wp-cli) is not in the

I would advise you to read this:
 http://pkg-php.alioth.debian.org/

and do what is advised there. I wrote that page, feel free to be critic
about it, and ask me to rewrite parts of it if you don't understand some
 of it.

Extracting the upstream tar.gz in the upstream-sid branch is what I
would do, another way is to do like here (I'm also in the Openstack
packaging team in Debian), which is a very good workflow as well:
 http://openstack.alioth.debian.org/

what's cool is that it uses upstream git tags.

ok, that's great. i love git awesomeness. my first packaging attempt did
not use any of this - i'll give it another go tomorrow.

thanks again for your help!

that. I have planned to deal with this later in the September, because
of some personal obligations. Thanks for your offer, if I need help
I'll let you know. Sorry for the delay.

Any news about this? I can provide an upload (and a sponsor) if you
don't have enough time to take care of this update.

Thank you,
Andrea.

Bug#690214: cellwriter: New upstream release (1.3.5) available

I've just updated the package to cellwriter 1.3.5 with debhelper 9,
source format 3.0 (quilt) and DEP5 for the copyright file. It builds
fine on my machine. Anyway, lintian complains about source tarball
containing .svn/ directories all around. Although this is not a
showstopper, I'd be happy to upload a perfectly clean package.
Would you like to release another tarball without the .svn/
directories? Once fixed, I'll upload a package on mentors to let you
check my work. Once OK for you, I'll unleash one of my sponsors for
the upload into archive.

Bug#584850: Provide better diagnostic for directories [patch]

2012-08-31 Thread Andrea Ranieri
After two years, this bug is still there (package mmv 1.01b-15 on
Ubuntu 12.04 amd64). This is a serious usability issue: I don't use
mmv so frequently to remember that the -r option is needed to rename
directories, so every time I lose several minutes to try to understand
what's wrong with my matching string. And, honestly speaking, this
behaviour for the -r option really doesn't make much sense, it's
just counterintuitive.

Please merge the patch provided by Ulrich Eckhardt in the main tree,
it shouldn't take too long to test it.

Thank you very much for your patience and best regards

Still, given Spectrwm’s target audience, I’d say upstream might be

Let’s notify upstream of the issue and see what comes out of it.

It seems that as_run looks for config files of the code-aster-gui

A (temporary) fix should be to make code-aster-run depending on

retitle 584689 RFP: justniffer -- TCP packet sniffer

thanks

Justniffer embeds a patched version of libnids. libnids had security
issues in the past, and the patched version adds some other security
concerns and other issues that would lead to a reject by security
team. Therefore, either justniffer needs to be patched to not use the
embedded libnids, or we must work with upstream to fix everything
there. In both cases I have no time to care of it, so I am changing
this ITP to a RFP.

Speaking with my maintainer hat on, I'm not willing to accept this

should add a transitional package in Debian to fix something that
regards Ubuntu only. Too bad we need to keep this delta until the next

Also, your VCS is bzr not git and doesn't look like it's in use.

Yeah, true. I simply forgot to update the bzr branch (and never

Bug#670293: code-aster-{gui, run}: prompting due to modified conffiles which were not modified by the user

Oggetto: Bug#670293: code-aster-{gui, run}: prompting due to modified
conffiles which were not modified by the user

A configuration file can't both be shipped in the package (and thus be a
conffile) and handled using debconf.  The patch below should make them
non-conffile, and handle reconfiguration properly.  I haven't tested it
yet, not sure I can get to it today.

Changes:
- split templates in code-aster-run and code-aster-gui.  Some are
  shared.
- install files to /usr/share/codeaster instead of /etc/codeaster/asrun,
  /etc/codeaster/astk/prefs and /etc/codeaster/astk/config_serveurs
- in *.config, if the config file exists, read the value from it and
seed that into debconf; if not use a default
- in *.postinst, on initial install copy the templates from
/usr/share/codeaster; then proceed to reading the debconf stored
values and writing them in the config files.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,
Julien

Hi,
thank you for the patch, I'll take a look at it as soon as I can and then apply
it for a new package.

2012-06-25 Thread Andrea Colangelo
Thank you for your bug report.

I can confirm this bug in the latest release too. I agree with you
that this behavior is wrong and should be fixed. I forwarded the issue
to upstream [1], since I'd like to hear their point of view before
patching the software on my own. BTW, since the freeze is approaching,
I'll try to get the latest release sponsored ASAP, either patched or
not.

Best regards,

I planned to forward them as soon as the package was accepted into Debian,
but as it’s apparently going to take very long I have done it yesterday.

You changed priority from extra to option, but this is not

I have updated the changelog to briefly explain the rationale behind the

The updated package is available from mentors.d.n, if anyone is interested.

Thank you for taking a look at it!

Hi everybody,

this is just to remind you that Rhinote is still looking for a sponsor.

As the changes for this revision are mostly patches to the software itself,
which is written in Python, I'm CCing the python-apps Team hoping that
someone will consider picking it up.

Cheers.

Beef is currently the only Brainfuck interpreter available in Debian, and
the package that's going to be included in Wheezy, if nobody steps up for

Please consider taking a look at Beef, and also at Cattle (ITP #673550),

Oops, sorry I didn't imagine atomic64_read on a pmd would trip.

Unfortunately to support pagetable walking with mmap_sem hold for
reading, we need an atomic read on 32bit PAE if
CONFIG_TRANSPARENT_HUGEPAGE=y.

The only case requiring this is 32bit PAE with
CONFIG_TRANSPARENT_HUGEPAGE=y at build time. If you set
CONFIG_TRANSPARENT_HUGEPAGE=n temporarily you should be able to work
around this as I optimized the code in a way to avoid an expensive
cmpxchg8b.

I guess if Xen can't be updated to handle an atomic64_read on a pmd in
the guest, we can add a pmd_read paravirt op? Or if we don't want to
break the paravirt interface a loop like gup_fast with irq disabled
should also work but looping + local_irq_disable()/enable() sounded
worse and more complex than a atomic64_read (gup fast already disables
irqs because it doesn't hold the mmap_sem so it's a different cost
looping there). AFIK Xen disables THP during boot, so a check on THP
being enabled and falling back in the THP=n version of
pmd_read_atomic, would also be safe, but it's not so nice to do it
with a runtime check.

Thanks,
Andrea

That is the CONFIG_TRANSPARENT_HUGEPAGE=n case and in fact it doesn't
trip the hypervisor. That was tested too, it should work fine.

The problem is with the atomic64_read version, that one uses cmpxchg8b
to read the contents of the pmdp.

Ah, by just skipping the thing if the low bits are zero.

Yep.

didn't like somebody reading the high and low bit, but isn't the

The pmd format is unchanged, that's hardware.

The thing is that I did install a 32-bit PAE guest (a Fedora) on a Fedora
17 dom0. So it looks like this is reading high part is fixed on the newer
hypervisors, but now with the older ones. And the older one is Amazon EC2
so some .. hack to workaround older hypervisors could be added.

The insn oopsing is cmpxchg8b and it's not reading the low/high part
in two separate insn but reading it in a single insn, which means the
kernel oopsing was built with CONFIG_TRANSPARENT_HUGEPAGE=y.

Bug#676360: [ 08/82] mm: pmd_read_atomic: fix 32bit PAE pmd walk vs pmd_populate SMP race condition

2012-06-07 Thread Andrea Arcangeli
Hi,

this should avoid the cmpxchg8b (to make Xen happy) but without
reintroducing the race condition. It's actually going to be faster
too, but it's conceptually more complicated as the pmd high/low may be
inconsistent at times, but at those times we're going to declare the
pmd unstable and ignore it anyway so it's ok.

NOTE: in theory I could also drop the high part when THP=y thanks to
the barrier() in the caller (and the barrier is needed for the generic
version anyway):

static inline pmd_t pmd_read_atomic(pmd_t *pmdp)
{
pmdval_t ret;
u32 *tmp = (u32 *)pmdp;

ret = (pmdval_t) (*tmp);
+#ifndef CONFIG_TRANSPARENT_HUGEPAGE
if (ret) {
/*
 * If the low part is null, we must not read the high part
 * or we can end up with a partial pmd.
 */
smp_rmb();
ret |= ((pmdval_t)*(tmp + 1))  32;
}
+#endif

return (pmd_t) { ret };
}

But it's not worth the extra complexity. It looks cleaner if we deal
with good pmds if they're later found pointing to a pte (even if we
discard them and force pte_offset to re-read the *pmd).

Bug#676360: [PATCH] thp: avoid atomic64_read in pmd_read_atomic for 32bit PAE

2012-06-07 Thread Andrea Arcangeli
In the x86 32bit PAE CONFIG_TRANSPARENT_HUGEPAGE=y case while holding
the mmap_sem for reading, cmpxchg8b cannot be used to read pmd
contents under Xen.

So instead of dealing only with consistent pmdvals in
pmd_none_or_trans_huge_or_clear_bad() (which would be conceptually
simpler) we let pmd_none_or_trans_huge_or_clear_bad() deal with pmdvals
where the low 32bit and high 32bit could be inconsistent (to avoid
having to use cmpxchg8b).

The only guarantee we get from pmd_read_atomic is that if the low part
of the pmd was found null, the high part will be null too (so the pmd
will be considered unstable). And if the low part of the pmd is found
stable later, then it means the whole pmd was read atomically
(because after a pmd is stable, neither MADV_DONTNEED nor page faults
can alter it anymore, and we read the high part after the low part).

In the 32bit PAE x86 case, it is enough to read the low part of the
pmdval atomically to declare the pmd as stable and that's true for
THP and no THP, furthermore in the THP case we also have a barrier()
that will prevent any inconsistent pmdvals to be cached by a later
re-read of the *pmd.

2012-05-24 Thread Andrea Veri
Package: release.debian.org
Severity: normal

Hi,

we (pkg-mozext) currently introduced a change of behaviour on the
mozilla-devscripts package when processing the automatic setup of
{xpi:Breaks} matching a certain field on the max_version on the
install.rdf.

As you can see at [1], the automatic generation of the breaks field
has been disabled from the extensions that have their max_version =
10. (from iceweasel-10 all the extensions are compatible by default,
thus max_version isn't checked at all and there's no point in creating
a relevant {xpi:Breaks} field)

That said, I would like to request a binNMU of the adblock-plus
package which is affected by the old {xpi:Breaks} issue:

nmu adblock-plus . ALL . -m Rebuild against mozilla-devscripts 0.32 and
prevent the generation of a wrong {xpi:Breaks} field.

cheers,

Andrea

Bug#671834: libatlas3gf-base: Octave pinv function fails with message illegal instruction

2012-05-07 Thread Andrea Brenci
Package: libatlas3gf-base
Version: 3.8.4-3
Severity: important

To make the pinv function work I need to switch from atlas-base to
libblas and from atlas-base to lapack using update-alternatives.
My cpu is very old but from the package description I read:
The libraries in this package are built without any processor extension
instructions, and should run on all processors of this general
architecture, albeit less than optimally.
So I expect the libraries to work even on old hardware.

Bug#670856: Add MPL-* licenses to /usr/share/common-licenses

2012-04-29 Thread Andrea Veri
Package: base-files
Version: 6.7
Severity: important

Hi,

while packaging Mozilla's extensions we noticed MPL-* licenses being
missing on the relevant /usr/share/common-licenses directory, thus the
need to include the full text of the MPL on debian/copyright. (the MPL
has more than 100 lines)

Please include the relevant MPL-* licenses on the /usr/share/common-licenses
directory.

Thanks,

Andrea

Bug#670567: /usr/bin/astk: uncorrected aster version in astk

2012-04-26 Thread Andrea Palazzi

Dear Maintainer,
default version in astk is 10.3, but real aster version in debian repository
is 10.6.
In order to be able to run analyses version needs to be changed in .export
file every time.
Best regards,
Corrado

Hi,

thanks for your report, this will be fixed ASAP.

As a workaround you can manually edit the file
/etc/codeaster/aster to reflect the current installed version.

Bye
Andrea

Bug#660937: pdfshuffler: will not run with poppler 0.18

2012-04-24 Thread Gasparini Andrea
Hi Kostas,
We just uploaded a python-poppler package in experimental,
( I will move it to unstable once we have been poppler 0.18 in unstable )
It should fix the memory leak, I already tried with the code you sent
in the last email.
Could you give it a try?

Is there other blockers for a new upstream version of pdfshuffler?

Thanks, regards!

Bug#667444: Breaks field is no more relevant

2012-04-23 Thread Andrea Veri
Hi,

the Breaks field shouldn't be used anymore, all addons are now
compatible by default with *every* iceweasel release as Paul pointed
out here. [1]

You can re-upload a package without the breaks field, so hopefully
this bug will be fixed.

cheers,

Andrea

Bug#669931: code-aster-mpi-engine: symbolic link needed for parallel_cp

2012-04-22 Thread Andrea Palazzi
This issue is related to the bug #626353 : parallel_cp has been renamedo to
codeaster-parallel_cp , however as_run hasn't been updated to reflect this
change.

The problem seems to be on /usr/lib/pymodules/python*/asrun/mpi.py at line 143,
where 'parallel_cp' should be substituted with 'codeaster-parallel_cp'

Bye

Bug#663151: RFS: rhinote/0.7.4-2 -- virtual sticky-notes for your desktop

2012-04-19 Thread Andrea Bolognani
Dear mentors,

please consider reviewing and sponsoring this new Rhinote upload.

As you can see from the changelog entry reported below, the updated package
contains several improvements that would make using Rhinote much better;
moreover, a Debian member has already reviewed the patches and found them
to be okay.

Thank you for your time.

Please take care to incorporate the HOME setting into the same command
as the calls it should affect:

    HOME=$(DEB_DESTDIR); \
    set -ex; \
    ...

Hi,

I see that it still fails with this problem, is it due to the fact that I
didn't set the HOME in the same command, or it's a strange behaviour of the
as_run command that is being called?

I've been using cowbuilder to test the building process, but it's not enough...
Is there a way to test the package against the buildd environment before
submitting it?

Thanks
Andrea
