RE: [Declude.JunkMail] Latest Kill File Stats- Image`fx
I have a question. Are you talking about Imail's kill file or a different kill file? I ask this because I thought that Imail only allowed the format in the killfile to be userid@host or @host and would not work with .host . Let me know because it would be helpful to me if I could use the .host configuration. No, this kill file AKA the FROMFILE is a Declude blacklist. It will not work with Imail without Declude. RE: [Declude.JunkMail] Forwarded Mail
Hello, that's the way I do it at the moment. I forward all my external adresses to an Imail user, and collect this. This works very well. (And with Junkmail pro, you could handle your personal mail more agressive than the rest ;-) Alex -Original Message- From: Todd [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Tuesday, September 24, 2002 10:21 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [Declude.JunkMail] Forwarded Mail Is there a way that Declude JM can process mail forwarded from another provider? I get a lot of junk mail from my other Addresses, and I would like to set them up to forward to my primary domain, install JM, and have it weed out the bad mail. Is this possible? I know this would change the headers, so I don't know if there is a way. Is there any way to fight spam on a 3rd party mail server like this? Re: [Declude.JunkMail] badheaders test
Can anyone shed any light on exactly what the BADHEADERS test checks for? It checks for E-mail headers that are broken (non-RFC-compliant). There are a number of different things that it looks for. I've got a client that is sending me legitimate emails but it's failing the BADHEADERS test and I can't see why. To find out, you need to find the code that Declude JunkMail assigned the E-mail (such as 80200202). If you use the WARN action, this will appear in the E-mail headers. Otherwise, you will need to look in the log file. You can look up the code using the BADHEADERS lookup at www.declude.com/tools . The most common reason an E-mail will fail the BADHEADERS test is because it is missing a Date: header (or has no time zone or an incorrect time zone). This is illegal, and will often cause E-mail to get lost on a server or mail client. Upgrading the software sending the E-mail will take care of the problem in almost all cases. -Scott --- [This E-mail was scanned for viruses by Declude Virus (http://www.declude.com)] --- This E-mail came from the Declude.JunkMail mailing list. After selecting multiple entries you can use all the normal functions such as Delete or Move just like you would use them on one selected entry. Will this take care of your request or would the buttons be better? Now for another request. two more buttons: Delete All - Deletes all entries. Delete All and Exit - Deletes all entries then exits (deleting deleted if switch is 'on') This is really want is needed. This way one may inspect select messages and manage them then delete the rest in one blow. This will save me even more time from an already great time saving program. -- Roger Heath [EMAIL PROTECTED] www.rleeheath.com -- ActivatorMail(tm) ver.082302 Scanned for all viruses by www.activatormail.com intelligent anti-virus anti-spam service --- [This E-mail was scanned for viruses by Declude Virus (http://www.declude.com)] --- This E-mail came from the Declude.JunkMail mailing list. RE: [Declude.JunkMail] SpamReview Request - Delete All
I tend to do it the same way, and I've nearly perfected the perfect cadence that avoids the near occasion of crash, but I get into someplace like the doggone yahoo.com messages [I sort by mailfrom domain] where I need to eyeball them individually, and I get trigger happy sometimes. -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of Tom Schwarz Sent: Wednesday, 25 September 2002 1:55 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: RE: [Declude.JunkMail] SpamReview Request - Delete All John, I will look into this problem again. I review and don't delete anything until all that is left in the list is email to delete. This resolved my happy finger problem where I was delete email by accident. Regarding the Delete All button... If I add it, it will be optional. I am concerned about space on the screen. [Declude.JunkMail] DSN:Newb Junkmail $default$ file question
Newb here: Don't laugh: I'm a tobacco farmer from SC: have 450 website customers, and a small data center with 12 cf servers and Imail: Got this declude software stuff. and I'm trying to figure it out.I need some help. My question is about the $default$ file for JUNK mail - virus questions will come later. I see most of the default setting are set to "warn" before I go changing all these settings, because I may not know the short term impact to my mail server. What should I change right away? And what would you experts set them too. If you would like to send me and example that would be really helpful. Here is what I have: What should dI change or add?
