[Flexradio] Delta 44 driver update, SDR1000

2008-12-26 Thread Len N3NGE

SDR 1000, Power SDR 1.16.1 with Delta 44 and Win XP professional SP3.

The latest and only Delta driver that is specifically recommended for
Win XP SP3 is V32 5.10.00.5069v3. There are some obvious changes
including a new control panel and certainly some functional updates as
well. The Flex Radio knowledge base seems to indicate that there could
be issues in using this update.
My question is has anyone here updated their system as described above
to operate properly? What are the tricks if any in making this combo work?

Tnx nad 73, Len

I'm not sure the new driver will work. It hasn't worked for me. The old driver
works just fine and may be your only option.

Len,
I have been using the 5069v3 driver with WinXP SP3. The only thing
that I had to do differently is under SetupAudioPrimary set the output
voltage to 3.16 volts before you redo the transmitter/PA calibrations (
in the early days, Flex KC had a proceedure for measuring the tx output
voltage of sound cards.. would be better to do that than put in 3.16...
) and don't forget that you have to put in the 3.16 anytime you
rebuild the database and recalibrate . )

Other than that, It has worked fine for me..

[Flexradio] Delta 44 Driver Install Problems

2006-10-24 Thread daves

Thanks for the responses with regards the installation of the Delta 44
Drivers
I will do a proper uninstall, and then re-install and see if that works.
I have a feeling that I should have done that, and not install over the
already installed driver
Another thing for Tim, if you recall I asked about the problems when
first starting the Console, and that it keeps switching off, and will
only stabilise when I close the Console, and re-start it
I did wot was suggested, that being re-installing PowerSDR from scratch,
and developing a new Database. I did that last nite, and got everything
running, re-calibrated everything, and the Console still switches off
when first bring it up. So there must be some other issue with my PC
hardware ?
Thanks again for all the help from all the guys on the Reflector, its
always good to know that there are others who know more about most
issues, and who have learned from their experiences, and are willing to
share their knowledge with others

Best regards, and keep on Flexin

Have you tried to completely _uninstall_ the card before moving it to another
slot and before reinstalling the drivers ?
You can do it by choosing Remove in the Device Manager panel.

Re: [Flexradio] Delta 44 Driver Installation

2006-10-23 Thread FlexRadio - Eric
There is a good chance the card is not completely seated. Double check that
the connection is even across the whole connector. Many times it will be
the backside of the card (facing the front of the PC) that pops up just
enough to cause problems.

Having some strange problems re-installing the Delta 44 Drivers
I moved the sound card from one PCI slot to another (to make room for a
 graphics card)
The reason I wanted to move the sound card was because the fan on the
graphics card was way to close to the sound card, and affecting the air
flow for the graphics card fan
Anyhow, I moved the sound card to the next PCI slot and the Delta 44
would not work. I then tried to re-install the Delta Driver, and it
 would not install
I tried a number of times without success
I moved the Sound Card back to the slot where it had been, and it still
did not work. I tried again to install the Delta Driver, and still no
 success
As a last resort, I ran a System restore (back to a date two days
 prior), and everything worked again
Does anyone know why I would be having this problem with installing the
 Delta Driver ??

 Any info would be appreciated

 Dave

Re: [Flexradio] Delta 44 Driver Version ???

2006-07-18 Thread k6kdk
I have finally heard back from M-Audio tech support via email

They state that, indeed, the revision number issue is a typo on their end.

Additionally I asked about any available workaround to the fact that the
M-Audio driver installer overwrites previous configuration files. If you
install a new driver then YOU MUST go back into the control panel and
re-configure all your previous settings from the factory defaults as
installed by the M-Audio driver installation routine. They state there is
no workaround.
