Some time ago I saw in Panjim a black BMW with the number 007 and the
picture of a hand holding a gun after it (as in the Bond movies).

I wonder who owns this superb car which also probably has the ability to
become invisible everytime a policeman happens to near it.

Rally success, at what cost?
Chaos on the road.
Passengers and Rally attendees had to walk for upto 2 KMs by abandoning their
buses due to traffic jam. Pax on city routes waited for hours as most buses
hired by the Rally organizers. Big Q at Shuutle buses counter and than held up
in the traffic jam. Saw people walking from upto Bambolim slope to Panjim.
Goa Traffic Police cannot even manage 2000 odd people at Kala Acadamy Festivals
etc how could they handle 2lakhs? Parrika...r should know this than anbybody

the neet for organising this rally? Publicity stunt? All they wanted to make

Re: [Goanet] Green grass on other side of the fence ?

2014-01-12 Thread J. Colaco < jc>
Dear Ana,

Thank you for your friend's story. I am happy to learn that, in the final
analysis, ALL turned out for the best for him.

My only addendum to the above is as follows:

1: if your friend was an engineering graduate from a top college in Bombay
and he signed up "with an agent" to work as a waiter, he was not very
intelligent.

2: if he did it 'because of love', he was far dumber than one can imagine.

3: there are very few places in the world which will allow 'foreigners' to
work jobs reserved for locals ie waiters, car washers etc

4: until you put names of cities/countries and the years involved, I will
applaud you for your imaginative fiction.

5: my personal experience with most Goans (Indians) is that while they may
have come with $8 in their hands (the foreign exchange allowed in the
1970s) and while they may have initially worked mundane jobs (as landed
immigrants) eg at Heathrow and Toronto airports or at the restaurants and
fast food places in those countries, TODAY they own the businesses and
employ Europeans to work in them. Their children are almost invariably
independent professionals eg doctors, lawyers, accountants, pharmacists etc.

6: It all depends on one's focus. One can be positive or one can be
negative.

7: And YES, if one wants to make it, one can make it anywhere in the world
including right in Goa. (As in many offers ...CONDITIONS APPLY)

disturbances and agreed. Paid a huge sum to an agent and migrated. Result
he found his engineering degree in the waste paper basket. The agent
arranged him a job as a waiter in a small resturant. Worse was the wife was
expecting and she could not cope up . They were literally beggars. she
could not complain while he bore all these for her love sake. He could not
afford to learn anything as everything was expenses. They had got a house
on rent and every month the landlord was to be paid. He was forced to buy a
car. Now wife's pregnancy. He would start his work at 6 in the morning that
is washing cars, cleaning the floors etc etc. Then he would go to real work
place at11 am and would leave at 11 pm. All he could afford was a slice of
bread and butter and some water to drink. They did not know if they could
afford the hospital bills during delivery. He thought it best to send his
wife down to Bombay for delivery. The wife agreed . My class mate thought
this is the best time to leave the west and search a nice job in Mumbai and
under the pretext of losing his job and migration he came to India . He
managed to get a nice job with a salary of forty thousand . His wife too
realised that it is better to stay in India and educate your children then
to jump to the west and struggle for just a status sake.

I'd like to second this very strongly. Just earlier today, I happened to
wonder myself over how many of us could even imagine how much time,
trouble, sweat and expenses JoeGoaUk expends, to record, process and
disseminate all this work of his.

>From his coverage, it's very clear that that JoeGoaUk goes out of his way
to keep track of issues that he feels are important to inform Goa about.
Whether these break out in Canacona, Corjuem or wherever! It is quite one
thing to go out of one's way to specially create content (unpaid) for
sharing on the Net, and another to share what one already has created
(either for some other purpose, or because we happen to be there). Some of
us, including myself, indulge in the latter form of sharing, which is far
more easy to undertake.

Which also makes me wonder: why doesn't JoeGoaUk just give up his
anonymity, and start contributing to some local paper or the other? (Of
course, anonymity here isn't the main issue. He could probably do that
*with* his anonymity too) Readers in Goa too would gain from his inputs
and insights, and be overall better informed thanks to his photos, comments
and videos. That way too, he would be at least earning some small
compensation for all the work he puts in, and get a bit of the credit he
rightly deserves! If he doesn't need the money, he could ask the paper
concerned to automatically direct it to his favourite charity.

If I was running a local paper, I would have surely employed JoeGoaUk by
now :-) But then, that might have also dampened JoeGoaUk's art and damaged
his enthusiasm. So, fortunately, I'm not

Best wishes, and a big thank you Joe again! FN

Well, all this is happening under the watch of Parrikar, one of BJP's blue
eyed boys who promised us good governance. Another one, PM in waiting,
lectured us at the Vijay Sankalap Rally today and promised us paradise. We
have to help the AAP dismantle this prevailing nexus, so that even if the
AAP is unable to get a foothold, politics will be better for it!

Re: ZONN
1: as one who has never personally collected or benefitted from this thing
called Zonn (royalty on Carambolim commune property which pre-dates the arrival
of the Portuguese in Goa but which was allegedly 'taken over' by the Portuguese
apparently to act as a granary for Goa)

2: as one who opposes the entitlement culture and believes that the Zonn is a
form of entitlement.

3: as one who believes that Zonn and all other entitlements are actually
deterrents to personal self-development and education.

4: as one who believes that one should only gain financially from what one pays
into or invests in.

5: and While I am not one to attend loud (and basically useless ) public
meetings, morchas etc

6: and While I understand that my position might not take into account the
contractual terms that might be involved in the Zonn

I believe I can perfectly well take a decision as an individual and stand on
the side of anyone who opposed and opposes the Zonn.

Now, this might upset some of my folks (as in the past) ... and So be it.

It is also my belief that Had the Carambolim settlers of Velim expended as much
energy in hard work, academics and education as they did/do in the politics of
Zonn, there would have been many more distinguished scientists, physicians,
lawyers, educators and other professionals from Velim than there presently are.
And trust me, there are quite a number. Never mind what Nehru is reported to
have called us but it is not all 'Cooks and Butlers' in Velim (or Goa for that
matter). Not that being a cook or butler is worth any less than any other
profession.

Re: 'settlers never voted Roque Santana'

I can only speak for myself.  I have never voted for Roque Santana.  Also, I
have never voted for any other politician or in any political election anywhere
at any time. I just have not been able to trust politicians enough to bring
myself to vote for them. It also happens that I left Goa (for good) soon after
reaching voting age.

I cannot, with any form of reliability, comment on the secret ballots cast by
others. Others might have this insight or knowledge. I certainly do not. I also
lack the powers attributed to Caju Feni which I positively hate.

Re: the holding of 'Land' (ie. property)

Land Law cases will likely teach us that land and other pretentious
acquisitions will only bring bring eventual 'panvati' to the family. Perhaps
because of this and the influence  of the Jesuits esp. my late uncle (by
marriage) Tio Armando aka Swami Animananda SJ (Time Magazine Apr 23, 1973) my
unitary family continues to live a very simple life in a small 2 bedroom flat.
(Those who have visited me will attest to that). That is the only property we
hold. Nada Mas. We have invested in our children's education and pray that they

I am grateful to be a descendant of Carambolim. I am also grateful to be a
descendant of the first set of new Roman Catholics on the subcontinent. Just
that you know, I oppose circumcision in little children unless it is surgically
really warranted. Thank you Adm. Timoja and Thank you Portugal. But for your
timely intervention, a whole pile of folks would continued to have their 'tips'
excised.and the rest of the other stuff. (No Thanks, however, for the
Inquisition).

Above all, Thank You SFX for bringing Roman Catholicism to Goa and Jesuit
Education esp to the 'outcastes' of the subcontinent..esp the Fishery Coast.

Re The State's duty to protect its citizens / residents

As I have said on numerous occasions before, I abhor violenceesp if it is
directed against innocent civilians who are going about their daily lives. It
is also my belief that Violence (exc in self defence) only provokes more
Violence. And while some might prosper in the short term, a greater number
eventually suffer. The increasing violence in the world has certainly caught my
attention, hopefully yours too.

Besides, there is nothing which cannot be resolved (albeit gradually) by
peaceful methods. Mahatma Gandhi, Martin Luther King and Nelson Mandela are
near-time testaments to that.

That is an excellent idea. I know that you will research widely and with an

Thank you Doutor for a beautiful and fine tribute to the head and heart of the
late Dr. Proensa. But for your rememberance we might have never known and that
would have been a pity.

Like this giant personality there were Goan physicians and surgeons living and
practicing in Bombay in the years gone by who matched his qualities of
excellence, compassion, humility and utter disregard for money and material
benefits of whom like Dr. P we should all be proud.

In these times unfortuntely there are less of these beacons of light or perhaps
not much of them is known.

A happy and peaceful New Year to you and yours.

DR. PROENÇA PASSES AWAY
A tribute from a colleague and friend
Dr. José Aleixo de Sousa Proença the doyen of Goan
pediatricians died yesterday from a cerebral stroke at his palatial home in
Calangute. Scion of a noble family he stood apart even in his youth because of
his pristine qualities the result of excellent upbringing. He joined the Lyceum
and later took his medical degree from Escola Médica de Goa. He left for
Portugal where he specialized in Pediatrics. He was a gold medalist and won
many other awards. Later he decided to fine-tune his expertise in Germany where
he rose to great heights. Here he had the rare opportunity to brush shoulders
with world leaders in Pediatrics. When a glorious career beckoned this young
promising pediatrician, Aleixo Proença decided to leave everything to return to
Goa, his birth-place, the land he loved so dearly. Setting foot in the Goan
soil in mid-sixties he pioneered modern pediatrics in Goa at a time when
newborn ICUs were not heard of. He joined as a Head of Pediatrics at the
Hospicio Hospital where he earned kudos and fame. He was endowed with a
clinical acumen which is rarely seen today. What is more, he had qualities of
head and heart that combined admirably to view every sick child with a humane
approach. He had a very large practice. Based in Margao  he would hop to Panjim
and Mapusa. Everyone
longed for his healing touch. He worked night and day and never refused to
attend anyone in need. For him medicine was a mission, a path to God. Simple,
unassuming,
he had always a kind word in his mouth. There is an entire generation of babies
(now in their adulthood) who has had the good fortune of having been treated by
this gem of a man. He pulled out thousands of little children from the clutches
of death. Each of my three children grew under his watchful eye. Many a time we
knocked at his door even in the dead of the night and were never turned back.
He was an excellent colleague who belonged to the old
generation of doctors. He practiced medicine with ethics. He never criticized
his colleagues, never took kickbacks, never bothered about financial returns.
He did immense charity through his many years of practice.
I remember the time when we used to sit together in the
seventies. That was the time I had purchased my first Echo machine and we had
equipped
ourselves to diagnose even rare pediatric heart disorders. That was the dawn of
Pediatric Cardiology in Goa. Our work was hailed by other colleagues and even
stalwarts
from GMC like Prof Rao, Prof Philomena and Prof Mimi Silveira of the
Departament of Pediatrics.  We also won
encomium from other Pediatric Cardiologists in India.
Dr.  Proença suffered
his first cerebral stroke when he was at the peak of his career but recovered
well and continued to practice actively. Sadly the last few years of his life
were
plagued with cerebrovascular problems which impaired his mobility and brought a
lot of suffering to him. Luckily he was amply compensated by the immense love
of his exemplary wife Dr. Ema, his affectionate children, Ingrid, Vivek and and
Ivan and the three grand children.
As I go down memory lane and write these unpretentious lines with
tears in my eyes  I find it difficult to
do justice to this giant of a man and the legacy he left behind.
His funeral cortege will leave his residence, Porbavaddo,
Calangute at 4.00 pm Monday tomorrow 13th January to St. Aleixo
Church for Eucharistic celebration at 4.15 pm.
Peace be to his soul.
Dr.
Francisco Colaço,
Margao.

[Goanet] Birds of Goa

2014-01-12 Thread Vivian A. DSouza
A number of bird watchers mostly foreigners trek by my home in Goa with
impressive photographic equioment, and other paraphanelia like big binoculars
etc.  Apparently my neighborhood is a good place to watch birds.  Not for long
though.  Sadly the construction boom is creeping into my once bucolic
neighborhood and the birds will take flight.

One of the bird watchers who has been frequenting my neighborhood for the past
6 or 7 years is a guy named David Stanton.  Yesterday, he came by with a DVD
named  "Birds of Goa - Gardens and Forests of the Coastal Belt" which he
brought as a gift to me.  I was flabbergasted.  I  immediately viewed the 75
minute long DVD which I found astoundingly beautiful.  There were  scenes of
the
beaches of North Goa filmed from an Ultra-light aircraft, pictures of some of
the stately old homes of Goa, pictures of the greenery, cashew plantations
etc., and also a scene of bashew apples being
crushed and the juice extracted and later distilled in a "bathi" to make
"uraaq" and "feni".  I dont know if  someone has recorded such scenes for
posterity, as in time such endeavours will no longer exist.  Most of the DVD
was devoted to videos of birds, taking a water bath, eating fruit on trees,
preening, flying etc. etc., with the names of the birds listed.  It was really
beautiful.  I asked David if I could get more copies of the DVD to give as
gifts to my children and grandchildren, so that they get a memento of the Goa I
love.  He has priced it at Rs. 550/-which is about US $ 9.00 which I thought
was a steal considering the months and years of patience rquired to film the
birds in action.  I am not his sales agent.  Just passing on information about
this beautiful DVD. One thing about the DVD.
When I tried to play it on my Goa-acquired computer, it did not recognize the
format.  So I played it
on my US-acquired lap top and had no problem.  So the techies out there  who
know about DVD
formats may know how to surmount this problem for Goa based folks.

[Goanet] [JudeSundayReflections] 2nd Sunday of the Year

2014-01-12 Thread Jude Botelho
09-Jan-2014

Dear friend,

In today's world people demand that especially those given responsibility in
public office be accountable. A lawyer, a teacher, a doctor has to follow the
norms laid down and his conduct should reveal that one is acting always
according to the accepted norms of his/her profession. Can we say the same for
our faith? If we profess to be Christians, does our life style reveal that we
are Christians? Can we be held accountable to God? To be Christian is to live a
saintly life. Have a Christ-filled weekend renewed in holiness. Fr. Jude

Sunday Reflections: Second Sunday of the Year "Be faithful to the call to be
holy, Be Saints-Heroes of faith!" 19-Jan-2014
Isaiah 49: 3, 5-6          Corinthians 1: 1-3          John 1: 29-34

The prophet Isaiah reminds the Israelites, who were in exile in Babylon, to
realize that they are called to be the light of the nations. As God's chosen
servant Israel had been unfaithful to her covenant with God and had suffered
the consequences. But while the people had given up on God, God had not given
up on them. Even though the people proved unworthy, God still reached out to
them. The Israelites will be brought back home and given another mission -to
bring the message of God's salvation to all peoples. We too as chosen people
have to bring those in darkness to the light by the witness of our holy lives
and ardent faith.

Build a better world
A university student who was having a hard time getting his act together
decided to take his frustrations out on God. He went into the university
chapel, sat in a pew, looked heavenwards and said, "All we have on this earth
are problems and a bunch of dummies who will never figure out how to solve
them. Even I could make a better world than this one." And somewhere deep
inside him the student heard God's answer: "That's what you are supposed to
do!" How are we fulfilling the role of being God's chosen ones? How are we
God's hands, arms, and legs -now?
Gerard Fuller in 'Stories for all Seasons'

In today's gospel John witnesses to Jesus as the Lamb of God that takes away
the sins of the world. This lamb could be a reminder of the Day of Atonement,
when the temple priest symbolically placed the sins of the community on the
lamb's head, and the lamb, laden with the sins of the people, was sent into the
desert. Jesus would accept the burden of our sins and through his death obtain
our salvation. Jesus could also be seen as the Paschal lamb. As the original
paschal lamb's blood delivered the Israelites from the destroying angel, so
Jesus would bring liberation by interceding on behalf of humankind. Secondly,
John humbly acknowledges the greatness of Jesus. "This is the one I spoke of
when I said: A man is coming after me who ranks before me. I did not know him
myself, and yet it was to reveal him to Israel that I came baptizing with
water." John points out that his own task was to bear witness and to prepare
the way for the coming of Jesus. John is
able to acknowledge Jesus for what he truly is: the Son of God. John is a man
of honesty, integrity and faith and he is able to see Jesus for what he truly
is. Lastly John the Baptist calls Jesus the chosen one of God. He points out
Jesus and adds his own personal testimony. "Yes I have seen and I am witness
that he is the Chosen one of God." Like John every Christian is called to
introduce Jesus to others. A Christian is called to be a witness of the life,
death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. We will be able to fulfill our
mission in the measure that we have seen and experienced Jesus in our lives; in
the measure that we are ready to let him take first place in our lives. He must
increase and we must decrease. People will believe us in the measure that our
lives are a living testimony to the presence of the living spirit living,
guiding and acting in us every day of our lives.

Heroic love
Many years ago, there was a busy fire in a certain part of Wales. For three
whole days the fire raged with such intensity and fury that rescue attempts
were greatly hampered. Sadly, quite a few lost their lives and their property.
On the third day, we are told, some Council workers saw a nest in a tree and
they just could not believe that it had survived the ravages of that
destructive fire. Very gently one worker brought the nest down. To his surprise
he found the charred and lifeless remains of the mother bird with her wings
outstretched. And then to his astounded disbelief, he heard a little chirp and
found two little young ones beneath the brittle remains of the mother bird. She
had bravely and selflessly chosen to die in order to protect her little ones.
What heroic love! - This is what we commemorate and celebrate today. There was
no way we humans could be delivered from sin and death. A price had to be paid
and a supreme price could make available
and possible through his Son Jesus. He is the Lamb of God who has take

My class mate in school in Bombay after finishing his engineering in bombay got
a job in one of the top industries in bombay. Inschool he was a topper and a
source of intellegence. He joined a top college for science . He was earning
around sixty thousand in seventies when you could get a rice plate for just one
rupee and a cup of tea for four annas. He married his next door neighbour whose
dreams was to go west. While she was for he was against but as theirs was a
love marriage he did not want to cause disturbances and agreed. Paid a huge sum
to an agent and migrated. Result he found his engineering degree in the waste
paper basket. The agent arranged him a job as a waiter in a small resturant.
Worse was the wife was expecting and she could not cope up . They were
literally beggars. she could not complain while he bore all these for her love
sake. He could not afford to learn anything as everything was expenses. They
had got a house on rent and every month the landlord was to be paid. He was
forced to buy a car. Now wife's pregnancy. He would start his work at 6 in the
morning that is washing cars, cleaning the floors etc etc. Then he would go to
real work place at11 am and would leave at 11 pm. All he could afford was a
slice of bread and butter and some water to drink. They did not know if they
could afford the hospital bills during delivery. He thought it best to send his
wife down to Bombay for delivery. The wife agreed . My class mate thought this
is the best time to leave the west and search a nice job in Mumbai and under
the pretext of losing his job and migration he came to India . He managed to
get a nice job with a salary of forty thousand . His wife too realised that it
is better to stay in India and educate your children then to jump to the west
and struggle for just a status sake.

Late Alfred D’Cruz*,* the first Indian sub-editor of *The Times of

posthumously with the Laxmidas Borkar Memorial Award for Journalism in 2013
by the Bori Development Trust, Goa. The award, instituted in memory of
eminent journalist late Laxmidas Borkar, was presented during the well
attended Bori Utsav celebrations, at the Narayan Temple Hall, Ponda in Goa,
recently. Sunil, son of late Alfred D'Cruz, received the award on his
father's behalf.

Way back in 1947, Alfred D'Cruz was hand-picked by the then British Editor,
Sir Francis Low, at a time when Englishmen were at the editorial desk. His
headline *'India wakes up to a new life'* adorned the front page of *The
Times of India*, Mumbai when India gained Independence.

Besides editing countless newspaper pages and bringing out the daily
edition of *The Times of India,* Mumbai, Alfred D’Cruz, who passed away on
June 1, 2012, was the only scribe to write the popular *'Round & About' *column
in the *Evening News of India,* Mumbai for some time when the late
‘Busybee’ alias Behram Contractor was on leave.

He was also the Editor of India’s best comprehensive reference book: ‘*The
Times of India Directory and Year Book 1984'*, including Who’s Who in
India, featuring prominent personalities. The book was listed among the
best in the Directory of Directories, Michigan, U.S.A. and soon became a
best seller in India, US, UK and Europe.

Moreover, when *The* *Times of India* completed 147 years in 1985, Alfred
D'Cruz brought out a special six-page supplement titled `*Down the
Corridors of the Times’* which was a research historical study of the
making of the century-old newspaper from its inception.

Working at a time when computers, Internet and email were yet to become the
buzzwords, he toiled zealously, sometimes until 4 a.m., in the hot metal
press giving his go-ahead to proofs and photographic blocks, so that people
could enjoy reading their newspapers along with their hot morning cup of
tea or coffee. Usually working the late night shift, he edited and put
together countless newspaper pages.

At *The Times of India,* Mumbai, Alfred D'Cruz worked with the doyens of
journalism, namely, Khuswant Singh, M.V. Kamath, M.J. Akbar, Girilal Jain,
Behram Contractor, R.K. Laxman and Mario Miranda, among others.

After his stint with *The Times of India *for 40 years from 1947 to
1987*, *Alfred
D'Cruz worked as the News Editor with *The Sunday Observer*, Mumbai
(India’s first exclusive Sunday newspaper). Thereafter, at the age of 67,
he joined *The Kuwait Times, *as its Assistant Editor.

He co-authored the book '*Saligao: Focus on a Picturesque Goan
Village',* brought
out during the centenary celebrations of Mae de Deus church in 1973, the
only church with Gothic architecture in Goa. The book, illustrated by Late
Mario Miranda, is in the Library of Congress in Washington and 20 major
universities in the USA. The church celebrated 140 years on November 26.

In 2012, Alfred D’Cruz was honoured posthumously with the Lifetime
Achievement Award for Excellence in Journalism by the Journalist
Association of India (JAI) in New Delhi.

Born on 23rd November 1921, Alfred D’Cruz contributed to the enrichment in
the field of journalism for 65 years from 1947 to 2012 and is known by the
newspaper fraternity as the *‘*Eternal Newsman'.

generation of doctors.
Dr.
Francisco Colaço,
Margao.

[Goanet] IT’S A YEAR AND WITH THE CHIEF MINISTER’S BLESSINGS THE RAPIST IS STILL AT LARGE

2014-01-12 Thread Aires Rodrigues
On 14th January it will be a year that the 7 year old little Vasco girl
from was mercilessly raped in broad day light in the toilet of Deep Vihar
School run by the Mormugao Port Trust where she was studying in the second
standard. Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar has to date not cared to visit
the victim and her grieving family. The reasons are obvious. It is
appalling that he has dared to show such insensitivity and high-handedly
ensured that the case was hushed up.

While we reflect on this horrifying case we cannot skip those lines of the
American country music singer and song writer Martina McBride

“A statue stands in a shaded place
An angel girl with an upturned face
A name is written on a polished rock
A broken heart that the world forgot”

Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar may have coerced the police to burn the
midnight oil in the Tarun Tejpal case, but in the Vasco rape case he
ensured that with his political blessings the investigation was totally
botched up with a sole intent to hush up the case to protect the rapist and
his accomplice. The Chief Minister later conveniently washed his hands off
by belatedly handing over the bungled investigation to the CBI.

While the little girl and her grief stricken parents relentlessly quest for
justice, the alleged rapist and his accomplice are still free birds
possibly scouting for their next catch. From the pre-planned manner in
which the little girl was raped it is abundantly clear that it was not the
rapist’s first rape and won’t be his last.

It is an undisputed fact that the Headmistress and the teachers had seen
the rapist in the school premises before the crime was committed. Their
failure to ensure that he was evicted from the school premises led to the
little girl being ruthlessly raped. The Headmistress thus failed to ensure
a safe environment for the child as required by the Goa Children’s Act. It
is also an acknowledged fact that the Headmistress and the staff did not
inform the police for three hours about the crime while they merrily washed
away all the vital evidence. All this was gross acts of omission by the
Headmistress and staff which should have been grounds to nail them as
abettors of that ghastly crime.

The little girl identified the picture of the rapist as well as that of his
accomplice. Everyone is aware of what transpired on that fateful day and
the dubious unpardonable role of the Headmistress and the other teachers in
washing up and destroying all the evidence after that rape. Under
directions of top ruling politicians the Goa Police systematically muted up
the case.

Goa has been witnessing a huge spurt of rapes on minor children. Seeing
the Vasco rapist scot free, must be only emboldening many other rapists to
rape without fear. Only victims of injustice know the trauma they have to
undergo and in Vasco rape case the trauma inflicted upon the victim and her
poor parents has been appalling. For them there has been no “Vijay” despite
their all out “Sankalp” to nail the rapist who wounded their little
daughter for life.

It took them about 100 minutes (more than 1.5hrs) to retrieve a body which was

at 4.55pm.
As the hearse van about to leave at 5.15, they spotted another body with just
head and shoulders visible, as if the body in standing position. NDRF  and Goa
