Re: Internal server error when removing addon
Well, actually the problem is that Heroku keep installing quick_sendgrid Gem which ignores my own configuration, but indeed, that's a temp fix, hope it's solved soon. Re: Internal server error when removing addon
Benjamin, I don't have any help for the internal server error, but you can definitely set up the environment variables from your manually crafted Sendgrid account on your app directly via heroku config:add. This will mask the old credentials and get you back on your feet until you can track down what's up. As to what do do with the "internal server error", I'd advise you to open a support ticket. -p On Fri, May 27, 2011 at 9:30 AM, Benjamin Orozco wrote: > We started using Sendgrid addon but then we decided to use a manually > crafted Sendgrid account in our app > > But now I can't remove sendgrid:free addon from my account: > > > heroku addons:remove sendgrid:free > > Removing sendgrid:free from cotizahoy-pruebas... Re: "Internal server error" when trying to execute anything in the console
Hi Adam It's in the interactive console. Running 'heroku console "1+1" ' works fine, but trying to do the same thing in the interactive console it generates the Internal Server Error message. Re: Internal Server Error on db:data:load
Yes, db:push is a preferred method, if you have the database loaded locally. Re: Internal Server Error
'git push heroku master' did not work. I had to delete the app on Heroku, rm the .git directory on my local app, and then go through the regular steps from git init onwards. And then it worked - including heroku db:push error that I posted earlier - although I can't see how that was related... thanks --Rob On Fri, Apr 3, 2009 at 1:10 PM, Adam Wiggins wrote: > We had a brief issue with one git server this morning. Re: internal server error
Adam, seems to be related to a form that allows multiple uploadColumns (http://uploadcolumn.rubyforge.org/) to be posted, although, still well under 10 MB POST limit. Just thinking outload here - uploadColumn does "manipulator" work using rmagick, I am wondering if it is some thread safety problem with native rmagick? or some other concurrency issue with uploadColumn? I have a work around to edit and save with one uploadColumn asset at a time. Also, unrelated, do you plan on expanding git features? I was looking to commit only certain changes, not all that are available. Also, does commit do implicit push? thanks again, this is good stuff, especially when compared to morph. Re: internal server error
Adam, thanks for getting back to me I can think of a couple of things, but, since I really don't know your architecture, it is difficult to describe an implementation: - add debug detail to the page source, so deliver 500 but with more HTML comments... - error_log filter by request IP logic - capture the IP I am using to edit the application and provide an anchor to get to that filtered log using that IP as filternot perfect and possibly expensive filter operation, but the only reasonable option I can think of... I am going to do more testing with uploading one attachment, no attachments, etc.. it is definitely not over the size limit. and I have been closely monitoring the logs I have access to...the request never get's that far. Let me see if I can isolate it a bit more. The only additional thing I can think of offhand would be to make the Nginx error logs for your app available somehow, but to date when we've tried this it's been hard to get just the logs relevant to your app sorted out due to the complexity of the routing that's happening in our front-end load balancers. > 2) The error occurs in a rather complicated form POST with multiple > multipart attachments, which are in term passed through rMagick > filters (I think), so it may be related to that. Since I don't know what you're uploading and where, I can't try it myself, but: - I checked your development.log and don't see any FAILSAFE errors, so it seems to not be Rails throwing an exception (unless your logs have been cycled since you last got the error). - I checked our logs and don't see anything. - Are you uploading a file larger than 10MB? Re: Internal server error on 2 apps
The one that was coughing last night is called ontariometis.heroku.com I just tried it this evening and it is letting me in. H. Perhaps whatever it was tripping on is not an obstacle right now. Don't know. I'll let you know if it starts to choke again. Thanks, Anita. Re: Internal server error on 2 apps
I got the same issue when trying to upload an background image to the app. I was trying to upload the image file rather than an tarball with application directories. I was guessing that I might be able to move the file to the public/ images folder after I finished uploading. My app name http://jrdaily.heroku.com Can you help me to have a look? Re: Internal server error on 2 apps
Hmmm, I am getting internal server errors as well. First when I tried to create a new app (I hit the back button until I got the login page, logged in again, and the new app was in existence) and now I am getting one when I try to edit this new app. No harm done since it is a new app and I'm not obstructed from working but I did want to start it on Heroku. Hmm, I don't see some of the symptoms you mentioned, maybe they are cleared up now? But the main problem, which is that the app was throwing an exception, was due to invalid data in your heroku.yml file. I deleted it, so now your app loads. We'll try to make the heroku.yml loader more robust to handling unexpected data. Any other outstanding issues? Both just fail on the internal server error message. Other weird things are happening with the other apps on my list - but this one appears to be angry. Local version is running fine and it was working great and the only change was the addition of a heroku.yml file and some data entry during user testing. Hey it looks like this might be the culprit. When I last did a git push I saw: rake aborted! No such file or directory - /mnt/home/userapps/14124/config/ database.yml Hadn't touched that file myself and sort of considered that off limits anyway. Re: "Internal server error" when editing
It's a pitty that EC2 is having such growing pains. I also heard that a majority of the EC2 IP's have been black listed due to spammers. Hope things get straitened out soon. --matto On Apr 9, 5:19 am, Nick <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Hi, > Getting a 3-word "Internal server error" page for > edit.doctag.heroku.com both when logged in and when not. the setting > screen seems fine though. > Is it me or heroku and am I the only one seeing something like that? --~--~-~--~~~---~--~~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Heroku" group. Re: "Internal server error" when editing
Actually, I should note that this coincides with the recent ec2 outage so that probably provides at least a partial explanation.
