What I don’t get is that in TX only dealers or brokers can bid on TX CT cars, yet in the past I have bought several cars from the CAN donation auction down there that had CT. In theory, I should be able to bid on the MI clear titles and not on the MI clear title dealer only cars. But it doesn't work that way in practice, even though I overheard one of the counter gals telling another customer that he could bid on any car that was CT. But what about a MI clear title car that I can bid on one day and not bid on another day, which is the case with the SL500 I was talking about? Understood, But if I’m bottom feeding, $200 might make the difference between whether or not it’s worth it. Good to know. Thanks for pointing that out. You really need to review the license requirement page. It will list who can bid on what based on state and based on what sort of title it has. In some states, public can bid on anything. In other states, public can only bid if it has a clear title. In others, public can only bid if it has a salvage title. This does not seem to depend on what state the auction if physically located in, it depends on what state the vehicle is titled in.
