There exists a mailing-list for kwintv, but nobody answer the questions. My first question is, anyone has reached kwintv to compile for Mandrake 8.0?, how? My second question is, is worth this package?, in fact it seems not so different from xawtv; why they haven't put a new release from almost a years? Francisco Alcaraz Murcia (Spain) I couldn't get the latest version to compile either, so finally gave up. I liked KWinTV as the UI was far superior to xawtv (and I've never managed to get xawtv to work either). From all appearances, I'd say that developement has ceased (or at least on hold for a very long time). For now, I'm using Zapping, a Gnome app that's quite good and under active developement. The UI has a few glitches, but give it time... John.

I have a Voodoo3 3500 AGP TV card, does anyone know if I should be able to watch TV with that card on Linux? You might want to try those. They are not too much older. I think you can get as high as v.79 from the kwintv support site. You might want to try that route. Hope this helps. ;-) -- /\ DarkLord \/

Re: [newbie] Kwintv and Video4Linux
Angelo Chillemi [EMAIL PROTECTED]
[newbie] Kwintv and Video4Linux
I have compiled Video4Linux and bttv driver in kernel (kernel 2.2.1), but Kwintv's configure says me that any Video4Linux device is found. How do I make the devices in /dev? I have tried "MAKEDEV video" and other but it doesn't know how to make these devices. Thanks, Angelo Chillemi [EMAIL PROTECTED]
