Re: To-Do List
Have you tried the native note app? If you are connected to the iCloud, the app will sync between devices and your desktop. You can use the dictation feature on your iPhone 4S and iPad. Two things to remember. The first line you type in the note will be its title. And, when you add items to a list, the app will automatically put the cursor at the beginning of the note, so I double tap to put the insertion point at the end of the note. Re: To do list
The native Reminders app can have both timed and un-timed reminders. It can sync with Macs, but I don’t know about Windows devices. Still, give it a try. To sort things, just create new lists. I have several lists, and even a shopping list my family shares so that we can all add to and check items off on that list and our changes sync to the rest of the family members’ iOS devices and Macs. Thanks, Alex. I was unaware of being able to set a reminder without a time. Well, come to think of it, I think I know how to do it from the keyboard, but can it be done using Siri? When I think of something to do, I often just grab my phone and tell Siri to remind me of what it is. Hello Alex, The native Reminders app can, indeed, sync just fine with MS Outlook 2007 or later on a Windows computer. I have all of my iCloud data being synced with both my Mac and my Windows computers. RE: To do list
Hello Keith, Siri is excellent at adding reminders to whatever ToDo list you have setup. For instance, I have created a ToDo list called Groceries. This list lives in iCloud so I have access to it from anywhere on any of my devices. Now, when I want to add an item to my groceries list via Siri, I simply say to Siri, "Add milk to Groceries list" or "Add milk to my groceries list". It's really that simple. By the way, to the Windows users out there, The Groceries list is merely a named Task list that will appear in the iCloud section of the Outlook tree assuming you have installed the iCloud add-in to MS Outlook 2007 or later. Re: To do list
I would recommend list. You can create anything from a grocery list on. You can create pretty much any kind of list and then share it and people you share your list with can add or delete items as needed. I mostly use it for groceries but I have also used it for to do lists as well. And, it's accessible and free. --- Regards, Alan Go Chicago Bears in 2013! Re: To do list
Thanks to all of you who have given me some excellent suggestions! After your reply, Mark, I went in and did a more thorough look at the reminders app. It has a lot of capabilities that, sadly, I did not know existed. And it works extremely well with Siri. Again, thanks to everyone for the suggestions. With all of these things now in my arsenal, I should have the problem solved! Sent from my iPhone > On Oct 31, 2013, at 2:17 AM, "M. RE: To do list
Hi, Alan, is the list app you referred to the one from Yoctaville? Pardon the spelling. I saw lots of items on the app store and am not sure which one you are talking about. Thanks. God bless!
