radium and sirius

2014-08-07 Thread David Gross
Interesting that the app seems to be working correctly with the sirius
stations this morning. I had a response from the tech support saying the
developer needed to issue an update to resolve the issue. But it is working
now.

Re: Radium and sirius?

I've had issues with Radium working intermittently, particularly if I'm not
on my wireless network. SiriusXm itself runs fine anywhere.

2014-08-07 Thread Chris Chaffin
Thanks for letting everyone know. I had switched over to the Sirius app, so
had not tried Radium lately.
My Radium app stopped working Monday afternoon, but I just checked, and it does
seem that it is playing all Sirius stations again!!
This is great news!!

Re: Radium and sirius?

2014-08-06 Thread Chris Chaffin
Hello,
I started having trouble On Monday afternoon with the Radium app playing my
Sirius stations.
I then tried switching to the Sirius app, but the Sirius app said my log in
information was invalid. So I called Sirius customer care, and was informed
that Sirius was gradually making people change their passwords for security
reasons.
I then got my password changed for my mobile device, and the Sirius app now
works for me. But the thing is that the Radium app still does not work with my
Sirius stations. It accepted my new password, but none of my sirius stations
will play.

I am beginning to think that sirius changed something on their end that no
longer lets Radium access there station feeds. I think we all need to make
the developer of the Radium app aware of this, so hopefully it can be fixed.

The Radium app will play other stations, just not sirius radio stations.

I tried to delete the app, restart my phone, then re install the app, but it
still did not work.

If anyone finds a solution for this, please share it with us all!!
In the meantime, I am forced to start using the sirius app.

Hi Les, the option for airplay turned out to be in settings. It is there on the
iPad and iPhone, and I just forgot about it. And my iPad is running ios7, so
there are at least some apps that don't make you go into the control center to
get at airplay. It works quite nicely.

I downloaded the Radium App, and I am enjoying it very much. Accessing
SiriusstXM is so easy to do with this App. While the SiriusstXm app is doable,
I like ease in finding my stations and the labeled buttons on radium are nice.
It is a very easy App to learn and use.

Hi Les,
I'm looking for the subscription fee for SiriusXM
I found it's about $200 per year for All Access
or $21.50 per month or
$18.00 per month for 140 selected channels.
Are there less expensive plans?

I downloaded the Radium App, and I am enjoying it very much. Accessing
SiriusstXM is so easy to do with this App. While the SiriusstXm app is
doable, I like ease in finding my stations and the labeled buttons on radium
are nice. It is a very easy App to learn and use.

option much better than the Sirius XM App. No buttons to label. And,
unlike the app, the content stream is within a minute of the actual

Hi Phil,

Before I retired from full-time work, I purchased a lifetime subscription for
about $500. I understand they no longer offer this option, I can see why. In
any event, I am not up on current pricing. I suspect that you can find
packages for less than $200, but you won't have access to all content if you go
for a less expensive plan.

Hi Les.

The only Sirius subscription we have is for our car radio. Do you think
this would work as a valid subscription for listening with Radium?

Re: Radium and Sirius XM Content

2013-11-25 Thread Les Kriegler
Hi Rick,

Yes, is long as you have an account with the username and password, you should
be fine. I know that the Internet accounts don't work because I tried that
yesterday, and it didn't take. What you may wish to do is call serious XM and
get the information for your account if you don't have it. That's what I want
up doing yesterday. In fact, I told him what I was doing and why, and he didn't
indicate that there was a problem with that. Of course The rep with whom I
spoke may not have understood what I was trying to do. In any case, it's a
really nice app. Very easy to use his others have stated.

Hi Don, Chris, Matt and Mary,

Here is the procedure to follow to activate XM content with Radium, iPhone
 version was used.
 1. Launch Radium and choose More Options.

 2. Swipe right until you hear Subscriptions, one finger double tap to
 activate that option..

 3. Swipe until you hear XM U.S unless you are in Canada, if so, stop at XM
 Canada.

By default, either service will be disabled.

 4. Single Finger double tap to enable the service.

 5. Fill in your User Name and Password and choose to save what you have
 typed.

 6. Back in the Main Screen, in the search box, you can search for XM and
choose Search and you'll get a list of all XM content.

 7. Single Finger Double Tap on the station you desire and the stream will
 start.

Notes: I have not experienced a crash yet. I am running Mountain Lion on
 the Mac side.

Re: Radium and Sirius XM Content

2013-11-25 Thread Steve
Yeah, and it beats the hell out of the Sirius Xm app which I can't get to
load on my 5S with 7.0.4 although it worked on my older iPhone with IOS 6.

Two things Radium lacks as far as Sirius Xm: You can't do MySxm of course.
And, I couldn't find the Bob Dylan Theme Time channel, although maybe I
overlooked it somehow as it appears that everything else is there, including
many of the online only channels like Folk Village, Red White and Booze, Tom
Petty's Radio channel, etc.

Yes, you need an account with SiriusXm, and my guess is you need an online
account; I don't think just a radio receiver subscription will do.

Would this work if I have XM radio in my car? Is there something in my car
such as a password that I would use in the radium app?

Thanks

Well, I don't know. Yesterday, I could not activate this service with my

Re: Radium and Sirius XM Content

2013-11-25 Thread Mary Otten
Well, despite what I was told by the support person for radium, I was able to
get serious XM on my Mac this morning. I'm still running Mountain lion, but my
search for serious XM turned up all the stations, and those that had
disappeared from favorites were magically re-added if that's a word.
Now, the only thing I can't figure out, is why I can't get settings to sync
with my iPad. It's running iOS 7 and my phone is running iOS 6. The phone works
fine. It's synced with the Mac, so that news stations I put into favorites
appeared on the iPhone the next time I log into radium. But with the iPad, no
go. Empty list is what I get no favorites.

Re: Radium and Sirius XM Content

2013-11-24 Thread Chris Chaffin

Hello Les,
I could be mistaken, but don't you have to pay for a Radium account?
Or can you use the Radium app for free to play your Sirius Radio stations?

I am definitely interested in learning more about this.
So any cost or set up instructions would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Chris Chaffin
