Try running a scheduler in each cluster group. That way the backups
will happen even if the groups are not on their "normal" nodes.

Fernando,
The format written to LTO cartridges depends on the medium type. So if you
use an LTO1 cartridge with an LTO2 drive, the format should be LTO1 format.
And an LTO1 drive should be able to read data from the LTO1 cartridge. To be
sure, you can also set format in devclass to "ultriumc".

Hello,
We are using an STK L180 with 6 LTO (SEAGATE) drives and running TSM 5.1.6.
Now we want to add 2 LTO2 drives, and we are evaluating the using LTO2.
The question is...
Can we use LTO2 drives as LTO1 drives? I.e, write LTO1 tape format in LTO2
drive and in the same device class?
If yes, can
That is because you are running the job as a command and the scheduler is

We have an Exchange 2000 server with TDP for Exchange 5.1.5. Currently, it

Ask your CE about them. There are some new drive clips they can install in

We are using RMAN for backing up our Oracle databases to TAPE through TDP.
Our observations are following.

Steve,
The TSM device driver does not support drives with device ID "STT2A".
You will need the Windows native driver for this device.

Hi Mike!
Thank you very much for your reply!
So, when I'm using a 5.1.7 server (AIX) and the 5.1.6 client on Windows

They could use the recovery procedure for Win2k (manual "Deploying the TSM
