As with any other Mani movie, a section of the trade is hell-bent upon projecting Guru as a no-show. I heard that Mid-day in Mumbai is carrying daily front page write-ups against Guru. Even Taran Adarsh who was seen on TV channels caling the movie a big hit has now put it as "Avg-to-aboveAvg"
