We have a customized form to change user password. The workflow has a 'Close
All' action once the new password is saved. This leads to error 623 -
'Authentication Failed' for some users. Is it a known defect SW00439943 on v7.6
and v9? Any hot fix available?

No, we are not using overlays. Everything is in base development mode. Upgrade
would be on Windows system.
How about the data/tickets that are modified during the upgrade? How can we

highly customized system. All the development is in base development mode,

We are getting an error 308 - Duplicate field in the field list :NULL on Remedy
9 user tool(v7.6.04). Its a customized form, no overlay, base development mode.
The error is generated by an active link that executes on MODIFY and uses a
DIRECT SQL operation.

Is there a way to remove port number from the url and access it with just the

automatically resolves to http:///arsys/shared/login.jsp
But on 9.0.1, we have to specify the complete URL.
Is it something related to the version or config changes?

I get nothing in arerror log but get following error message in esc logs if I
enable it.

Hello,
We tried to upgrade 7.6 to 9.0.01 but it failed. We are highly customized and
not using any OOTB ITSM applications. The install log file had following errors
at multiple places -
- Your login failed, but connected as a guest user
- LOG EVENT {Description=[[resultType=COMPLETED,exitCod
It was new on test environment. Our last 3 test upgrades also failed but there
was no email error in the logs.
This is the first time we had email issues and duplicate key error.

Hello All,
We have a remedy 9 test environment having all the mailbox configurations
copied from current prod 7.6.
Its a customized environment with 10 outgoing mailboxes.
Some mailboxes are throwing error and the email just sits in the AR System

Looks like something is wrong with the mailbox configs but these are working on
prod. I took arx backup of mailbox configs from prod and imported on remedy 9.
The password and user account fields are intact. Not sure what went wrong
during import.

We never had this issue on any of the pre-prod systems. May because we never
had full load on any of the dev or test systems.
I did change the java heap from 512 to 1024 in armonitor.cfg but it didnt fix
the issue.
Not sure if this heap needs to be increased in java settings or not?

We have a ticket notification that sends a link to remedy form/record. Some
users are being forced to login to mid tier to view the record while others can
simply click on the link and view it.
What could be the reason?

Atleast on 7.6 this wasn't the case. Users were not prompted to login even if
they are not already logged in.
Issue is consistent to only few users.
Removing the user name and pwd from link prompts all users to login.

We are using 'Notify' action and fields used are display only.
We keep copies of notification emails sent in a mailbox.
The copy sent has all the correct info in both header and email body.
Since email in mailbox looks ok, could it still be a problem at remedy side?
May be the EML got mixed up w
