Yeah, there were a ton of police down there.
While unfortunate this one really wasn't the kind of issue the prior
murders were. Seems like an isolated bar room fight that got out of
hand rather than anything really reflective of Asbury Park, gangs,
etc... This kind of thing could happen
I understand this happened at The Deep. The guy was bleeding very
badly.
I was driving down the beach last evening with my family and there
were many parked cars and lots of young people walking around. Was
there a concert or something last night?

I was in the mood for a Checkers Mushroom Swiss burger the other day, but alas,
Checkers

No, it was at Deep. They had the police tape around the Ocean Ave
entrance.

If this is another issue, why are all deaths, committed in AP, prior

Although I'm sure my current shape took a beating from the place, I
must say Checker's had much better burgers than McD's, Burger King
and Wendy's. Always fresh, particularly the onions.
I too will miss them.
What now of that building? What an eyesore it will become in such a

Since they've boarded it up, it already looks like an eyesore. Too bad. I

Sharon I like John Loffredo a bunch. The only reason why I wouldn't
want him to run for Assembly is a selfish one: I wouldn't want him
replaced here in AP!
Remember what happened to John 4 years ago. The Democrats begged
him to run for Assembly. He finally agreed. What happened next?

The price we pay for freedom, perhaps. Either you have a legitimate
stop or you don't.
Several of the recent murders, including the murder of the girl a few
weeks ago, were directly tied to gangs. This appears to be your run-
of-the-mill barfight that went bad. Not sure what your point is?
Are you trying to say this one might be gang related, or that the
others were not?

I think though they stopped the practice of random stops at check-
points. I believe it is constitutional to have a check point with a
pre-determined number: Stop every 7th car, or every 8th car, etc.
I think they did away with that. Also, they did away with profiling
completely, when in

will happen in the near future though. it looks a lot better then some of the

I didn't advocate bar fights... The fact that there should be no bar
fights doesn't stop them from happening.

You are dragging up an old debate we have had here a few times.
Some on this board believe that Bradley, in his benevolence,
inexpensively deeded the beachfront to the City because he wanted
the people to use it forever.
Others, myself included, believe the mean old cuss had to have
