For APS journals (e.g. Physical Review family), I usually have the
LaTeX bib data for a paper displayed by the web browser (Safari), then
highlight the whole block and drag and release to an empty
"Publication" entry in BibDesk.
Sometimes, however, there were some data simply refused to be dragged
I put an example script hook on the Wiki to auto-save RIS. It should
work (with todays nightly) also with Minimal BibTeX Database if you
make the appropriate changes to the first 3 lines (also add a suffix,
you don't want to override the full bibtex file).
