I don't use multiple X servers too often but I think that since X 4.x
there are some problems when running multiple X servers on same machine
(voodoo 3 card).
I have dri enabled, it works ok. as long as I run only one instance
of X it works without any problems.

what version of X? Glide with unreal tournament ONLY works
under Xfree 3.3.6.

stupid and i can't figure it out this time. This is what I've

-X 4.1.0 (w/ the DRI section configured correctly)

however, whenever i try to play quake3 or unreal tournamen

kernel 2.4.0 with DRI support compiled in.
3dfx module loaded in
the problem is frame rate -- slo, as if there
hate to say this, but don't use the quake from debian. the package sucks,
and if the package manager is anything like many of the other package
managers, he's unresponsive and doesn't care about his package anylonger.
do yourself a favor, and download quakeforge. you'll be much happier.

drivers.

I have a Voodoo3 2000, and it works fine. I used the XF86_SVGA server
on XFree86 3.3.6 (the version in potato), and am using the XFree86
server in woody. Getting

I haven't tried the 4.0 server with my Voodoo card yet - just the Mach64.
And unfortunately, I don't quite remember what went on with the config file. As

remember, it updated it automatically - but I could be completely wrong here.
