I believe I'm having the same problem on Ubuntu Quantal. While trying to rip a DVD image, Brasero fails with the error message, Error while retrieving a key used for encryption. I am able to rip the same disc just fine using dd if=/dev/sr0, so I know it's not a problem with my drive. Brasero's
