Is this due to the permission problem ? Is there a way to avoid this ?
Or do I have to initialize the sharedCacheFile in some special way ?
Thanks !

When you add index.jsp to your configuration and add the above worker

No, I always do a diff on the old files and replay the changes on the
new, so normally this should work fine.

Hi,
I finally got the time to compile 2.0.43; the problem is solved !
Thanks to all those who searched an found memory leaks !!

I've sent a patch doing the same some time ago, but it was not accepted
so don't get your hopes up ;-).

Hi,
I've recompiled the server with only the proxy and the core modules :
Compiled in modules:
core.c
mod_proxy.c
proxy_connect.c
proxy_ftp.c
proxy_http.c
prefork.c
http_core.c
But the problem remains :

If you are talking about the memory leak when downloading large files
through a proxy chain, this problem was first observed in version
2.0.39, so it probably isn't the same problem.

Hi,
how do you see this ? A core server with a bunch of .so's or hooks in
the build process to statically link optional modules ?

Hello,
I'd like to start a vote to get mod_jk in the apache core distribution.
It seems silly to me to leave it in the tomcat distribution, what if an
other container implements the protocol ? Moreover, the mod_jk is of no
use to other webservers than apache and with the increased use of
servlets
Hi,
I've checked out the latest version from CVS, but I see there's no
configure script in there. How do I get/generate it ? Do I need it to
compile ?
Thanx,
Peter.

I've continued to investigate the problem, maybe you know what could
cause it.
I'm using a proxy chain, a proxy running internally and forwarding all
requests to an other proxy in the DMZ. Both proxies are identical. It is
always the internal proxy that crashes; the external proxy has no
problem
I had the same problem, after I did this correction, no more error
messages !
You have my vote to add this trick to the recommendations !
Peter.

There are A LOT of those messages per request and dependant of the size
of the page. The larger the page, the more messages.

when I set the LogLevel to info, I get a lot of message like the one in

Peter.
#x27;m sorry I'm not trying to find the error myself, but I haven't got the
time to familiarize myself with the apr code ...

Hi,
can anybody look into apr_buckets_heap.c ? I'm not familiar with the apr
code, but I don't see the free_func called anywhere ( which frees up the
memory ), or am I mistaken ?
Thanks !

I started my server with MaxClients=1, started the download and attached
to the process with gdb. The process crashed; This is the trace :

as this is probably not due to the proxy, I'm reposting this here.
Can anybody help me ?

Hello,
I'm using an apache 2.0.39 on a HPUX 11.0 system as a webserver/proxy.
When I try to download large files through the proxy, I get the
following error :
