I came to this thread following a reference to it in the recent price-drop thread. I have to agree with Michael Wagner ... looking very similar to an Audiotron. I have one as well. They are not made any more - which is what pushed me to buy an SB2 when I wanted to get music in more rooms. For

Jim, the volume knob acts as a volume knob by default. If you press Select, you'll go into Menu Mode. The the volume knob acts like an up/down menu control. If you press-hold Select you'll go back to Volume Mode. If you do nothing, it will go back to Volume mode automatically after a timeout.
