So does the HID-module for the keyboard mode of the remote work at all

Thanks a lot in advance,

P.S.: Currently, you can get ATI Remote USB (compatible) remotes quite
cheap at eBay Germany for EUR 19,99:

Does anybody know how to get analogue TV viewing in freevo to work?
I am using freevo 1.5.1 (on Gentoo). I can watch TV with mplayer/tvtime
standalone (using my BT878 based grabber card).
When I try to watch a TV channel (XMLTV is working fine, by the way) I
get nothing to see, just some flashin

Hi,
is it possible to get Xine (for DVD menus) to work on dfbmga?
I am quite happy with my DirectFB-setup (picture quality is much better
with my G400 now and TV-out works a lot smoother as with plain mga
framebuffer). Only thing that I am missing are the DVD-menus, so did

How can this be? I thought an application using lirc would only receive

Hello Mark,
I experienced similar problems. I migrated from SuSE to Gentoo this week.

Whatever it is, it's likely something to do with how SDL interacts

Hello there,
I can confirm that the SDL-Patch is no longer needed if you are using
DirectFB-0.9.19 (and you want to use TV-Out, of course).
Some more hints to get it working:
- compile DirectFB-0.9.19 (./configure;make;make install)
- compile SDL-1.2 (CVS tarball) (./configure;make;make install
