Leaving all the Slides in is certainly not good Advice. I can think of one or two Exceptions of Professionals who play well who do this, but not for a student who may not have developed strength or good Ears to play all the Notes in tune in spite of it. I like to push the main Slide all the way

If you would read tzhe answers you receive here on the list, you would know the right way to tune the horn. I repeat it here, you have to use the best in tune pitches of both sides to tune according to the "a" form the piano. Play the (concert) f1, which is our c2 in the 2nd space from top or 3rd

Major dents may have already distorted the horn a bit but should be pushed up to the extent of not being an obstruction. Usually, pushing a series of dent ball past the dent will reduce it to a few wrinkles, which won't affect the playing. This also leaves a pretty clear picture of the origin

I think this is right, but perhaps if this dutch Man thought he had a "magic fix" for Hornplaying he may demand more than 30 Euros for it. I know I would!! My first Thought was also that this Service is unecesary, but haven't we all bought a great mouthpiece sometime and then given up with it?
