They don't desire a odd model configuration, just
a way to blow up a mod

They don't desire a odd model configuration, just a way to blow up a

That's a function of the window manager, not the application (although
the application will need to respond to the appWinResize X event). Which
window manager are they running?
In general,
The intent is to start x3270 with four sessions on each corner (much
like a 3290). The operator would then want to maximize a screen on
occasion to see it easier.
When I try to maximize the window, I very briefly get a gray block on
the screen where the image might be, then it just drops
