Do you have a configuration file of your own for the java.util logger? If not,
it will pick up the logging.properties file from lib folder of the JRE home.
The logging.properties by default configures the handlers to
handlers= java.util.logging.ConsoleHandler

OK, so now I'm back to the point where it sees the jboss-io.xml file, creates a
classloader for it, and then... nothing. It thinks it's fully deployed at that
point. I'm not even sure it's doing the parsing, though I don't know how to
tell that for sure.

confirmed. I had left the jboss.xml file out of the ear file. when I included
it (and re-added the JNDIName attribute to the jbossmq-destinations-service.xml
file) it worked as expected.

This is the problem: when I try to receive from the remote queue the first time
and my principal
is not in the authentication cache of the remote server, I get
JMSSecurityException.
At the same time authentication does happen. The principal shows up in the
authentication cache

I'm trying to configure log4j for my application running on jboss 5.0.0 Beta 4.
Is it possible to have a log4j.properties in my application or the only way is
to use jboss-log4j.xml? If it is possible to have a properties file, can

That sounds weird. To clarify you are saying that if the EJB is first called by
the timer you get no AOP, and that if first called via a business interface you
get AOP? As far as I know there should not really be any difference in the
classloading when called with a timer

Even swing clients have command lines.
Are you running on Windows? If so, get the listdlls utility from sysinternals
() )and run it:
listdlls java

JBossAS 5 will be the first version supported on JDK 5. All of the 4.2.x
versions are supported only on JDK 5, and the 4.0.x versions are supported on
JDK 5 and 1.4.2.
So even if you could get JBossAS 4.0.3.sp1 running on JDK 6, it would not be
supported.
If you really need JDK 5 support, Sun

dependant. You can easily circumvent this, but the docs also would not be
generic. Besides that, you could not package actionhandler classes is your own

Hey,
I wrote a custom login module. in the login module i thow a LoginException
(This is the Exception you need to throw).
The problem is that JBoss catch this exception (in interceptor) and throw
javax.ejb.EJBAccessException instaed (itsnt chain), so i dont have the data why
login failed.
