Hi Dave, fir of all thanks for your swift reply..
The problem is that I can't transfer any files to my linux instance
(no networking) so I can't compile the cmsfs util on my linux
(although it looks like good practice putting it there proactively).
I couldn't find any info on e2 is it
Bill,
Thanks for the reply.
I am tempted to try defining two virtual processors for the Domino virtual
machine, even though there is only one real processor. I know this is
contrary to conventional wisdom, but it might make sense in this situation.
If I understand your comment, with only one

maintenance to one of my guests this morning that previously had a working
connection to my hipersockets and VSWITCH through qeth. The VSWITCH
connection works fine but the hipersockets connection is toast - same 0x03

last version of 2.2 that will be released. That means that the bug just
recently discovered will not be fixed in the 2.2 series by the Samba

The December issue of SysAdmin magazine has an excellent article on
ClamAV, a open-source virus scanner, and how to implment it for on-open
virus scanning for Samba and other filesystem daemons, mail virus
scanning, and WWW browser virus scanning.
Well worth reading.

Minor update: by request the tarball now extracts into a separate
directory. If you've already retrieved it, don't bother getting a new

Thanks for the info. Very timely for us.
I expect the Oracle 10g for Linux/390 (the 31 bit
stuff) on my desk by early January. But since
management ordered it, I assumed that they ordered the
64 bit version instead of what we can use G.
So, for those Oracle types, how close is a install

Hi all,
I am running SuSE 8.1 SP3, recently patched. I have a VDISK that I want to
use as swap. It was created with MKSWAP and SWAPGEN. The dasd (/dev/dasda1)
is listed on the zIPL DASD= statement. It is listed in /etc/fstab. After
the system comes up, all I have to do to get it to work is to
You need to rebuild your initrd and make sure that the dasd_diag_mod is

Did you read the RELEASE-NOTES.en.html in the /docu directory on CD1? This
documents what needs to be done to set up an installation server.
