I haven't seen it, but my father, an MIT alum, said on the Beantown side of the
bridge there's a sign (or was in the 40s) that says "___ to Hell." The
_ is some sort of linear units. Could it be "smoots?" I kind of remember
something prosaic like "One mile to Hell," but any town
I've gathered from recent reading that SQL Server doesn't have a spatial
capability a la those of Oracle or Informix. Does anyone know why or
whether MS is working on that feature?

Soon MapInfo and Windows and Western Civilization will at least hang and
likely crash, but that's all part of the fun. If you get stumped, of
course, you can read the instructions in the help files or manual, but
don't rush into anything.
