On diesels you can jump-start from the GP relay control
connector. Jumper pins 1 or 2 to the fuse screw, w

on a W123, but I've never done it.
When I had my 300TD and before that the 240D, I hard wired in a remote start
switch to those wire terminals. Worked like a champ.
