I've just tested this and have a different result: Although importance and
urgency are set as 100 on all new items, they are not always displayed
correctly in the Task Statistics.
I should also note that the importance and urgency scales are inconsistent
between the General group and the Task S
This is one thing that has always bugged me about MLO and I constantly
fight it. Items with due dates should always have a higher importance that
items without.

I tend to use the Due Next 7 Days view first to prioritise my tasks, before
checking the other views. I Star those tasks I want to do immediately/soon.

A recurring problem in MLO, and one which has prevented me really utilizing
it properly for a long time, is that any due date later than today causes a
decrease in the urgency category.
