For SliMP3 with mplayer - I think the workaround is to always use a "-b
64" and not $BITRATE$
If you have other players then you should have a special line in the
conf file for Slimp3 class of players as well the standard one.

Thank you - deleting the "-x" worked! No more white noise, but an
actual stream!

It's been awhile since I setup Pulseaudio on Ubuntu to work with non
root apps so the details may not be quite correct.
For an app to work on a PulseAudio system without root access - Pulse
had to be setup as system wide and the user had to be added to some
pulse groups.
The command line version
when i run Softsqueeze
i get:
Code:

I set the log to debug Track Stat and Custom Scan and this is what I get
for almost every song

Try removing the "-x" after "[lame]", restart SBS and test.
Lame had a bug where the use of "-x" was incorrect and it was changed
between version 3.96 and 3.97 or 3.98.

I'm trying to install squeezier, but actually failing to get it

I:

Thanks Toby!
I'm aware of brutefir's existence...
I would prefer to stay with XP, since this is not a SqueezeCenter
computer only.
Hi indifference_engine
I've installed your latest beta & all seems well but after menu items
are performed the SBC does not return to the designated .
Can you have a quick look at my .xml file & see what I've done wrong?
