Joe, email me off list and I'll send you a copy from my 7.5.3 PB

I aquired a PB 520c by chance, actually I bought a truck and it kinda came

Hi,
I would like to remove the trackpad of a 1400 as it seems to cause
some problems.
But how can I unplug it from the cable that I see after removing the
keyboard, located right beside the harddisk? Just pulling the cable
gently didn't work.
Do I need special tools or skills? Or a more rude
We converted a 520C to a 5300 by just swapping the board - so I think? the
answer's yes they are identical. But others may confirm or deny

I think you mean that you converted a 190c to a 5300 by swapping the
motherboard. The 5x0 series and the 5300 have no identical parts, as
far as I know.

Could anyone please tell me which version of Apple MRJ software to
install on a powerbook 5300 with 24 mb ram?
I think MRJ 1.5.1 will run within the limitations of your 5300.
Also, I had installed Internet Explorer version
5.17, but wonder if I need to install an earlier version instead.

In either case you have to insert the card AFTER booting for it to
work. This means alway remembering to eject it before shutdown. I
have an applescript that does this for me now.
Firewire does work. Visit my page at:
A caution here. The failure where it crashes randomly may be due to
heating. While the 44MHz may work now it might crash at a higher
ambient air temperature.
Well of course thats the problem.
I have it runnin at 45.7mhz (275mhz) now since thursday it all works great
so far. Nice and speedy.
Here is my page with firewire and 40gb hard drive as well as overclocking
and etc...
I dont know why you would partition a 40gb hard drive into 8gb chunks.
Mine worked fine with the full 40gb in one partition.

I recently purchased a Powerbook 150, and the floppy drive failed this
afternoon. I opened it up, and the drive is definitely beyond repair (one of
the heads had snapped off, as well as part of the assembly it was attached
to). I've checked prices on the web for a replacement drive, but they've
