I've been seeing the single inverted commas as digits problem on websites
recently. The more serious problem of Japanese text received as what I call
gobbledygook (rubbish or indecipherable text) which magically converts to
proper Japanese when the Forward email button is clicked. In PM Preferenc
Sounds good.
We get plenty of spam from Japan because we have a Japanese
language website. Do you or anyone else here know if SpamSieve can be
programmed to filter out unwanted emails with Japanese text Subject and
Content.

Problem of PM not sending emails solved by Disk Warrior.
None of the suggested solutions, such as 'purging outgoing
queue', switching user environments, de-installing recently
installed virus protection software etc., enabled me to send
emails from PM. Though I appreciate everyone's help.

on PM,
but quits on send. The outgoing message is not sent.
The same PM version works fine on the other computers
in the network running 10.4.3. I tried trashing preferences
in the Library folder, but this didn't help.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to rectify this problem.

After your posting uploaded and downloaded a test 1Mb file
on broadband. Seemed to work same speed as normal.
Download possibly even faster than usual but no previous
timings to make an accurate comparison.
Have a look at your System Preferences/Network and make
sure all is OK.

eems difficult as the fields wouldn't reproduce as they do in a FMP
record.
The only way is probably to save a FMP record in pdf format but there's
no facility
in FMP to do this.
Does anyone have information on how to solve this problem.
Thanks

I'm using PM 4.2.1 OSX 10.3.5 G4 IGhz and
it includes From and To in the filter.
Is this something they forgot to implement in PM5

In the menu bar none of the drop down menus are titled Text Encoding.

I get the same result running PM 4.21 on 10.3.4 but with me Photoshop
files won't open though jpegs will open in Preview (an Apple image viewing
app for OSX) though Photoshop itself does open. Files in some apps open
and others don't though I haven't made a record of which ones. Checked
again
Could be that a setting in 'Outgoing SMTP Server' needs changing.
Have a word with your ISP.

Maybe I should investigate the network setups and PM preferences on
these two Macs.

Does anyone know if PM5 is compatible with Filemaker Pro.
Last time I looked PM wasn't included in FMP's list of ''preferred' email
clients.

Yes, I also suffer from this problem. If it gets too difficult
I have to disable Preferences/HTML completely. If all 3 Preferences/HTML
boxes
are ticked then this problem occurs frequently so most of the time
'Download external
