Removing these packages let the upgrade continue without the error
message above.
2. However the upgrade stopped after a few packages were installed with
a failure message concerning the package lib32asound2.
. Can you call qdbus? like it is mentioned at [1] (this is a Kubuntu
system btw). After manually installing the package qdbus, the system
worked.

I got the same problem here, so by now, I am using the firefox nightly
build which behaves much better, but isn't as responsive as firefox 7 on
natty in comparison.
Chrome woks fine with oneiric, seamonkey does as well, only ff7 does
not.

Also got this problem running Xfce, though I installed Ubuntu with unity
and only afterwarsd installed Xubuntu-desktop so I'm not sure if any
Unity/Gnome-Stuff is interfering.
I also have some problems with alsa after resuming from standby but this

to download. They have been ignored, or old
ones used instead.

Before oneiric ifupdown used ifconfig to set the network interface and
with oneiric iproute2 is used. iproute2 assigns new IPs directly to the
interface, e.g. eth0, if you like to have a virtual interface eth0:0,
you have to add a label explicitly.

Same problem here. Links seem to be fine, directories seem fine,

I would agree that if Ubuntu ships in this configuration by default,
then the rkhunter settings should be adapted accordingly. The other
option is for udev and initramfs to check if rkhunter is installed and
appropriately configured for them, but I see this as an rkhunter config
issue for standard

When traveling by high-speed train, the modem connects and disconnects often,
and switches from UMTS to GPRS etc. Often the reconnecting and switching works
This bug started showing up for me when jumping onto the kubuntu beta2.
There was a network manager bug that killed my GSM connection, and when
the flashplugin-installer wanted to download it couldn't. Since then
(even with remove and install via apt, including --purge) the bug
persists.

This bug seems weird, ive been using GSM modems for quite a while
without problems. If this problem persists in 11.10 oneric, please try
connecting to a network and then post the output of
egrep (modem-manager|NetworkManager) /var/log/syslog /var/log/debug
/var/log/daemon.log
and
dpkg -l | grep
Please post logs and a more detailed description of what exactly occirs

sudo apt-get remove --purge flashplugin-downloader flashplugin-installer
sudo apt-get install flashplugin-installer
is a workaround, fixed the problem for me. The dpkg workaround in the
bug report did NOT work for me.
