Netscape 6.2.3

2002-07-11 Thread Diana Graham Stevens
I seem to be stuck in OS X for a while, maybe I will even get used to it, but I am not an MS Internet Exploder fan. I found some adverse comments about Netscape v 6.2 in the archive. Anyone know if 6.2.3 is OK? Diana

Forget Internet Exploiter. Forget Netscape 6.x, 7.x (based on not-up-to-date-Mozilla with advertising junk) Go straight to Mozilla 1.0 or 1.1a Or Cimera 0.3 (Mozilla written in Cocoa) Or maybe OmniWeb (shareware) Or iCab I use Moz 1.1a for virtually everything and find it to be very stable

Hi all Not sure if this message got thru, trying again to .org.au From time to time my iMac won't wake up after natural sleep (long period of inactivity). My usual wake ups of mouse moving or space bar press do nothing. Have to resort to magic restart hole or shut off completely. I vaguely

Hello again all :-) I got some responses on aus.computers.mac as well including one guy who has a 20 gig drive in his 6200/75 so apparently it will work! They will only play nice with a 5400rpm drive so I'll be getting me one of those :-) He said he was using his as an MP3 player in the

ADSL Eudora Problem

As I am in OS X I have been using Eudora Pro 4.2 under Classic. It appears to work OK except that it will not collect mail when connected via ADSL. I can send mail on ADSL but the only one I could collect was one I sent to myself as a test. Eudora tells me there are X messages to collect and

ADSL Eudora Problem SOLVED

2002-07-11 Thread Diana Graham Stevens
That last message would not download but I could Ping the mail server so I phoned iinet. It was the setting in Eudora for the POP. Some time ago I was told to change it from mail.iinet.net.au to just iinet.net.au as I was getting emails with the 'mail' bit in the address. That worked on

Reasonably Cheap Graphics Card

Hi Ruben, In many cases the PC graphics card must be flashed ... I reccomend the ASUS 64meg V7100 pro (GF2MX - 400). I can personally vouch that it works straight out of the box in a G4-400. You can buy them from Austin Computers for around $150. They're an excellent buy for the G4-400's
