(313) MP3 spammage
I've got a new track called Surface Tension up on mp3.com - it's a pleasant Detroit-style techno track with a mellow atmosphere (it also has drum noises, chords, synthesisers, and those sorts of things) and so far it's doing OK in the mp3.com charts. It'd be great to get some feedback from people on the list, so if anyone fancies a free mp3 to download, the page is at: http://www.mp3.com/trackghost By the way, are there any better places for mp3 hosting than mp3.com? You get the idea that you're very much a second class citizen there unless you're on the premium artist scheme... what is ampcast like? Brendan

These guys are really doing their bit to represent quality music in Liverpool, and they're a great bunch - I had a great time on Friday night. They are also doing their bit to support the local licensed trade: I left three of them at 2pm the following day, still in the pub, with a large queue of Sambucas lined up. I bow down... ;) The next couple of nights with Baby Ford and then Luke Solomon will be great, never mind Valentine's Day. (313) Amsterdam Dance Event
I've just had a last minute invite to attend this conference and wondered if there are other people on this list who will be there. I will be attending with the K-os.net group and we will be looking for interesting people to discuss independent music and potential application of Internet technologies. The following link has a complete list of delegates. I am particularly interested in electro techno associated labels and other delegates so if you can make any recommendations I would be grateful. It claims to be Europe's main electronic and dance music conference. http://www.amsterdam-dance-event.com/main/delegates.php Thanks. Steve
