Speaking of Luke Eargoggle and fans of Dataphysix and
Bunker Records releases, check out CTNERMX--Club Telex
Noise Ensemble--Remixed on the UK's Delta B Recordings
(http://www.delta-b.co.uk/); this features remixes from
Luke Eargoggle, 8-Bit Rockers aka Bangkok Impact,
Legowelt, and some guy named Andrew Duke. #1 on Dave
Clarke's electro chart this month. I think it is
available through Clone distribution, but not totally
sure. Andrew Duke np Drexciya's "Bang-Bang" from The
Return Of Drexciya (UR, USA, 1996) it's good to listen
to Drexciya as I nurse the blisters on my hands from
shoveling the damn snow

Jason Trenholm was born 31 August 1969 and died

that was the single worst reply to a track ID i have ever read. I almost
barfed all over my monitor and keyboard when i read it. My guess would be
that this person thought they were/are the single-most authority on
musical taste and what has soul, which is for the birds.

RE: (313) what you listening to right now?

2004-01-28 Thread Ronny Pries
first, i wanted to write that they increased the levels of the tracks.
but then i made a 1:1 comparison and noticed that this is not the case.
a few tracks seem to have some adjustments on the mids, very subtle tho.

strangewise, the remastered m-series compilation is more different to
the old one. whatsoever, i wouldn't have heard the bc tracks as much
lately if there wouldn't have the re-issue. that already justifies its
existence :)

cheers,
ronny

I had the pleasure of playing with these guys last Nov in germany
and man they sure know how to put on a show. Both very funny people
and great to have around as they try not to take it too seriously..

This track they played and the singer certianly can belt out a few notes I tell
ya! :)))

Hum.. I remember listening to their album on Suction (Submission), as well as a
couple of tracks on comps (woud have to dig those out), and everytime it sounds
to me like the worst of electro-clash. Probably the thing that really irritates
me is the stupid voice... this being said, "hate" was too harsh a word, it just
annoys me.

AW: (313) MIA - elegant - showbiz

2004-01-28 Thread Carlos de Brito

I'm not sure, but i guess you mean "mia - galang" on showbiz, release
#004. it was played by gilles peterson a few times in his radio show.
Man, this is a hell of a track, noisy distorted electro dancehall,
definetely one to tear the roof off!

You can preview the track here:
