[_info]

our 40th installment was made by jerzz (aka jerzy boscowitz, salvador
scandal, member of sublogic coperation and the livesets.com staff) whose
tracks are already acclaimed and played by claude young. jerzz does not
limit himself to one genre either, his tracks may range from reggae to
old school hip hop to dubby techno. fortunately for rohformat jerzz
treats us with a great techno excursion (or "jerzzno" as he prefers to
call it himself). here are 6 reasons to rapidly move your ass and shake
your head. as usual all tracks are available for free download and ready
for traktor.

sup Alex... been kinda slow on pickin up new records
and getting records to show up at my local shop, but
what I did pick up the other day that I highly
recommend is this record by:

Kango's Stein Massiv (J.M. Dahle) called Loding on
Trailerpark Recordings. guess he is out of Oslo,
Norway. This is one sweet record. Very nice production
with proper disco sensibilities and dubbed out sounds
and shuffly beats. reminded me of Danny Wang's
quirkiness and humor mixed with some the style the
Idjut Boys sort of became famous for.

Haven't heard much of the new Neroli other than the
clips from RH store page and the new Ignitor(s) sound
hot especially since I think some of them are older or
(unreleased) tracks that possibly came out on
Spiritual... Jason Brunton would probably know more
since he's the Orlando Voorn super fan.

new Juan on Metroplex? man I've been sleeping way too

Wot you on about? I was there - well kind of, think some bits were in

Or do you mean I'm not on this list gassing about it?
Having loads of problems with this at present and hard to sort out how much
is being caused by problems with my mail at work (which I have) and
flakiness with 313 (which I think is going on judging by other peoples

not only that, but that's definitely a part of it. it's that plus

Metro Area records have real techno sensibility in the best drum

little slower. Oh yeah, and then there's that part of the live
strings...

if you love electronic dance music, attention to production details

(313) [London spam] 313 Birthday Party - reminder

2004-09-06 Thread Brendan Nelson
Apologies to all non-UK 313ers, but here's a brief reminder
about the upcoming London leg of celebrations for the tenth
anniversary of the 313 list.

Taking place at the tried and tested Public Life venue in
Spitalfields, east London, on Saturday September 18th, the
party will run from 8.30pm through to the small hours of
the morning.

Entry will be *free* for any 313ers and friends of 313ers:
just say "313" on the door and you'll be allowed in. Anyone
else will have to pay a £3 entry charge, but we will be
keeping an eye on the numbers of non-313 types, as the last
thing we want is for 313ers and their mates to be turned
away because the venue is too full. That said, however, the
last two 313 parties we've held at Public Life have been
extremely busy, so try to get there sooner rather than later!

The venue itself is at 82a Commercial Street, London - just
outside Christ Church, you'll see a staircase leading down
from street level. That's the place! Nearest tubes are
Liverpool Street and Aldgate East. Here's a link to a map:
http://tinyurl.com/5v9tq

DJs on the night will be:

Toby Frith (Bleep43)
Tristan Watkins (Phonopsia, USA)
Gerald Rogers (Matrix, Canada)
Maxim Sullivan (Soda Studios)
Matt Chester (11th Hour)
Ken Odeluga (Bleep43)
Brendan Nelson (Non Stop DJs)

If anyone has anything they need confirmed or clarified, get
back to me offlist and I'll do my best to help. Also, if anyone
is thinking of coming from outside the UK or London and needs a
place to crash, let me know - it's pretty much inevitable that
something can be sorted out. Contrary to popular perception, us
British 313ers are a friendly and welcoming bunch (or at least
we try to be! :).

excused!

looks like a super-hot party.

can you remember any more about it?

I've not really got any parties like KJ's list really, although F.K at
Electric Chair was pretty spesh as was that new years eve do with UR, KDJ
etc.
Mind you, thinking about it, I remember having a good time on an NYE party
in an old ice cream factory in Battersea (Lost do) as well.

Not one that really springs to mind though.

Well, actually, some of the parties we did stick out in my mind too. Juan
in '95 was pretty hot, D.Wynn also killed it a couple of years later, and
then, oh yeah, Rob Hood, '95 sometime, in what used to be Konspiracy. I
remember he dropped numbers and we lost it. Johnny dancing on the bar
etc

so I lied. there are a few

can't remember any really old ones though.

Alex

p.s. when is the real 313 10 year anniversary?

Jeez he seems to be on a roll at the moment! ;-)

Long may it continue and good luck to all @ New Religion with this.

I'm already really enjoying 'Back To Basics' Part II at the moment -
*including* side B! I know there are some mixed reactions to that. But to me
it's really like another thudding 'Infiniti' track? Maybe it's more to
Europe/UK tastes though as I can just hear it in an Atkins set @ Lost ...

'Rebound' is also nice. If retro is where we're at at the moment, this is
one way to do it well, imho.

well. If you ever find one, do let me know. I would love to check out that
place when i am there the next time.
