RE: (313) UR Party in Belgium/Gent
Yeaaah really a good party. All dj's was excellent without exception. A very special ambiance at this party... And if you can, listen to the 'True Colors' DJ mix by Dj 3000, funky and very representative of his performances ! A big thanks to all for this party ! In wait of the TT report, you can find some 'little low resolution' pics at http://groups.msn.com/313TechnoMusic -- Dimitri Pike http://wildtek.free.fr http://wildtek.blogspot.com http://groups.msn.com/313TechnoMusic
Re: (313) Infiniti Collaborations
I think that Juan and Terrence worked together for the Mind & Body=20 album. He is not credited but i am sure they worked together already=20 for some records... i think :) KJ *** Yeah, I heard this too ... can't remember where now, which sort of diminishes how true it might be, but it sounded convincing at the time. k not sure about "mind & body", but i'm just listening to "Infiniti - Skynet" on which Terrence is credited on 'electric circus', 'thought process' & 'walking on water'. has Terrence released anything lately? nath Where are you reading this please Nath? It strikes me that it might be that the liner notes for the original release of Skynet. ( http://www.discogs.com/release/62770 ) rather than the Tresor editions. Maybe those credit Terrence Dixon and the Tresor release does not? Terrence Dixon hasn't released anything since 'From The Far Future' (AFAIK). I don't know where I heard that Juan Atkins had assisted in the production of that, but, correctly or not, that's what I did hear. (AFAIK, 'Into Sub-Luna' on the 'Orietta St Cloud' comp, from 2001, was an old track from the above LP given a different name.) k
Re: (313) re: something to think about
I think Eno's point was just that "new" does not NECESSITATE "interesting" - that is, he's suggesting that simply creating original work does not automatically assure that it is work of value/quality. -- Dennis DeSantis www.dennisdesantis.com Philip wrote: What a load of crap. Actually doing something new and interesting is not the same thing as just saying you are going to. And lots of people who really do original & interesting work might not be doing it just to be new or whatever, they are just expressing their individuality and their unique take or art, music, whatever. Brian just sounds like an out of touch bored whinger. Who needs it. ENO: They're overvalued really. The Decadance club (Gent-Belgium) build on her reputation in the underground scene for years. They earn all support and respect from the scene. The future will be bright with more clubs like decadance :) cheers lady aida -- meanwhile...check: Rebelbass weblog @ 3voor12: http://www.3voor12.vpro.nl/rebelbass Rebelbass home: http://www.rebelbass.com > > Just to say than UR party "Belgian Resistance night" ;-), this saturday was > fantastic! > DJ 3000 & James Pennington did two amazing sets ! > Lot of UR t-shirts into the crowd ;-), lots of fans, members of numerous > Detroit related mailing list, lots of friends from France , Holland, and > Belgium of course. > Its few weeks I feel than the underground scene is coming back in Europe, > with the old good underground roots we used to have here... > Last week in Public Life in London (thanx to Matt Chester from 11th Hour > recordings)...this week in Gent...whats next ??? !!! > I also feel than the power of mailing list is growing and growing...its > probably the source of that new emergence of underground parties... > The future is shining...in the dark...in the underground... > > > Fabrice Lig > > _ > Téléchargez notre chanson pour Simon & Odil ! http://www.fr.msn.be/simonodil > >
