I haven’t bought any new records since July 2003 (wife and 4 kids... Do the math). (313) Sammy Dee in NYC this Friday
Friday May 20 ***THE BUNKER*** Sammy Dee (Pantytec, Perlon | Berlin) Kevin McHugh (Micro Mini | NYC) Sammy is a major part of the Berlin based Perlon label, which is one of the most influential minimal techno/house labels in the world. He is also one half of Pantytec alongside Zip (aka Dimbiman). Lately he's been working on a solo live set and a new Pantytec album. We know he's been in town alot lately, but his girlfriend Grace is leaving NYC for Berlin, and this is her going away party, so Sammy probably wont be around very much in the near future. Kevin McHugh organized the Music in the Anchorage series for Creative Time, bringing in notables such as Dimbiman, Thomas Brinkmann, Porter Ricks, Carl Craig, The Bug, A Guy Called Gerald, and many others for for some of the most memorable parties we've been to in NYC. He later went on to organize the Micro Mini series of events at Filter 14 with guests like Magda, Matthew Dear, and Akufen. After spending some time in Berlin helping Richie Hawtin prepare for his live show at last year's Mutek festival, he is back in NYC. On top of his amazing curatorial skills, he is a fine DJ. Lately he has been using Final Scratch to showcase unreleased tracks from his well connected network. There will be an afterhours party at Wolf + Lamb, and those of you who came to the Mini Mutek afterhours know they do it properly, so prepare for a very late night. http://wolflambmusic.com/ plus ... resident DJs: Spinoza, Movement visualists: Chris Jordan, Giles Hendrix Fridays at Tonic/subTonic 107 Norfolk Street (212)358-7501 $5, 21+, 9p-4a more info, upcoming guests, heavy rotation - http://www.klever.org/thebunkernyc Afterhours info: The Bunker Afterhours DJs: Spinoza, Wolf + Lamb, very special guests at Wolf + Lamb 108 Marcy Avenue (btw S.2nd & S.3rd) 3a-10a+, free car direx: take Williamburg Bridge (left lane of outer roadway), exit South 5th Street, left onto Havemeyer, right onto South 1st, Right on Marcy Ave train direx: JMZ to Marcy Avenue (1st stop in Brooklyn), walk North 4 blocks on Marcy, go under the BQE overpass, W+L on left side corner of South 3rd Street Upcoming events: 05/27: Microcosm Macrofun 2 Release Party: Miskate (Foundsound, Microcosm) Socks and Sandals (Love and Cush, Microcosm) live pa Ezekiel Honig & Morgan Packard (Microcosm) live pa 06/10: Galoppierende Zuversicht (Bruchstuecke | Zurich) DJ Fragment (Bruchstuecke | Zurich) 06/24: Paul Birken (Communique, Tonewrecker | Chicago) Tony Rohr (Cocoon, Weave, Macintosh | NYC) Dietrich Schoenemann (Hidden Agenda, Prototype 909 | NYC)

(313) Delsin Invites.. Vince Watson - this saturday!
Saturday May 21st, 10pm Pakhuis Wilhelmina, Amsterdam entrance 5 euro Delsin Invites.. Original Detroit Techno / 100% Technosoul special live performance: Vince Watson (headspace, bio, f-com, transmat) special guest deejay: Tom Churchill (headspace, emoticon) deejays: Peel Seamus M>O>S/Aroy Dee About Vince Watson, Tom Churchill, The Glasgow Connection Headspace is a soulful techno label run & done by Tom Churchill from Glasgow. Headspace just celebrated its 17th release in April with its first artist album 'Sublimina', courtesy of Scottish techno stalwart Vince Watson. Vince has been producing his highly personal brand of techno since the mid-90s, making his debut on Dave Angel's rotation imprint and going on to record for many of the world's biggest techno and house labels: Alola, Ibadan, Soma, Pure Plastic, to name but a handful. Vince must be one of the hardest-working producers in the UK at the moment, with releases out now or coming soon on his own Bio music label, F Communications and the mighty Transmat, to name but three, while his punishing dj and live schedule sees him play his music across the world every weekend. 'Sublimina' is his third full-length album - and features 15 tracks of deep and soulful machine music, from shimmering dancefloor tracks to more reflective grooves, all laced with vince's distinctive melancholy harmony and intricate rhythm. Some of the reactions to his 'Sublimina' album: "Love it. Drove from Wellington to Auckland playing this and Joe Clausell. Fantastic driving music and good headmusic for the dancefloor." - Carl Craig - Planet E, Detroit, USA // "It is absolutely stunning! Vince is the man!" - Laurent Garnier, France // "It's really my type of music. There should always be demand for well produced techno like this!" - Ken Ishi, Japan On this third Delsin Invites.. night we will see Vince Watson bringing a special live performance, all in style of this mighty album. Headspace label boss Tom Churchill will join him along the night with the best blend of real techno around. About Delsin Records Amsterdam Delsin Records is bringing leftfield soulful techno since 1996, this year up to it's 50th release, and the rich discography includes debut albums by artists such as Aardvarck, 154, Dynarec, Future Beat Alliance and others.
