[313] may's djing (was Lost - further details)

2002-02-26 Thread allnight

you people mean that derrick may's djing is good? man that would make
me happy, since i'm a gigant fan of his work.. the mixed sets i could
check out of him were anything but good.. but who knows.. maybe in
detroit his sets can sound from a detroit artist. the last mix i
heard from him was depressing. even M4J (a pop eletronic band from
brazil, leaded by dj MauMau whos totaly comercial) appear in that
mixed set.

any coments about his djing in detroit?

Oooh, at least one 734 313'er will be in England round then -- I'm
leaving
Detroit on March 28 and getting back April 10 (though, granted, I
did just
see Derrick last month). If there are any other intriguing shows
happening
anywhere in England around these dates, I'd love to hear about

2002-02-26 Thread allnight
man i dont just respect him. in fact i never meet anyone who feels
the way i do about his tracks. he is by far my bigest influence in
producing as well. it would be a dream to me if i could only see him.
but i really dont like some styles of eletronic music. at the same
time that good techno is maybe the most important thing in my life,
dancing tribal techousy is something that i just cant stand. but u
bet i respect derrick may or anyother famous dj who spin for living.
if i had the oportunity of live by spining records i would also play
all the christian smith discography.
but i think im free to say that i dont like tribal techouse.
whatever.. i stil have my hope of seeing the man spin and listen to
something like Icon or Ilusion.

 take care u all.
love
henrique
 Good??? and commercial?

well everyone has their off days, I am sure you do too..so lets be
kind to
 all
those who do mix as , well we all have off days..

Well I have had the pleasure and he plays three decks like a
wizard..
great choice of music and styles, very good all round three deck
mixer...

So yeah he is more than good, but then that's my opinion..

BTW, the new Jazzanova - That Night (feat. Viktor Duplaix) is
awesome.
 Don't
 sleep on this.

I really like most of their material and remixes, but I think this
new ep
kind of sucks. Most of their tunes have pretty awesome drum
programming,
this stuff seems flat as hell. I would pass on this ep imho.

I'm eagerly awaiting the Jazzanova - Soon (Domu remix) [JCR]!!

MILLSART: Every Dog Has Its Day Vol. 3 2x12 (AXIS). In time,
all
wrongdoings are eligible for correction. Even in the eye of a
storm, we
must endure the invalid as a objective fragment in the
existence of
mankind. Effortlessly, time passes over and onto, without you
and without
us. On it, we mark the acceptance of the new with the chance to
begin
   again
and give away the hand of the past, free of unadmissibles.
Those who are
punctual are thieves of time. Robbing from reserves of time
that have been

designated for nothing. In time, time tells truths or at least
the truths
you've been waiting for. Time is the oldest living thing we
own. Its rate
of speed is constant and in all, infinite. Some never have
enough time,
which are those people that are quick to reconize those who
waste it. Is
time or is it not? It has been said that seconds, minutes,
hours, days,
weeks, months, years, decades and centuries are just about all
the average

human can imagine and plan for. Millsart believes not. All that
is needed
to calculate is that 'one of these days is none of these days'.
Now that

[313] time for reflection

2001-09-11 Thread allnight

this is time for reflection. promoving slave work in all parts of
africa, makig people from all continents hungry. promoving wars in
oriental countrys for ecenomical reasons. this is a too high price
for human race to pay. big companys from rich countrys are richer
everyday. but for what price? capilalism create much bigers tragedys
than this one we r seeing now.
and clarissa u are wrong. dont be glad about anything. u r guilty in
this sutuations as anyone else. USA president, FMI leaders, people
like u (taht cant understand whats going on) and people like me (that
dont do nothing agaist those social problems) are all guilty.
i hope people think about this questions now. this drama that NYC is
living is something that we brazilians and poor people from all
arround the world live everyday. we are not killed by airplanes, we r
killed by political decisions and economical interests.
its really sad that the only way they found to show that was by
killing people.

my hopes to everyone involved in this tragedy. my condolenses to all
familys.

 henrique casanova, Porto Alegre/Brasil.

as always, forgive my terrible english.

hi. i wander if there is people making old school melodic techno. the
kind of techno i like is the early 90's releases. i wander for
exemple, if Icon would make the same sucses if it was released
today. i start with producing some months ago and all my tracks are
deeple infuencied by the early 90's music.
can some one tell me about any artist making music in this way today?
sometimes i just dont know if this kind of techno still have its
place on the turntables arround the wolrd. i really hope so.
