Re: [313] DEMF or what?

2002-02-12 Thread joshtwentythree
ok...i really shouldn't cause it's not list
appropriate but i feel like i gotta say something...it
was a joke...i was just trying to say something
funny...most people seem to have been able to take it
that way, i went to the demf and i had a great
time...i'm probably going to go this year, just
because i like being in detroit and i know i'll
probably have fun...it was a joke, not a social
statement, or a vocalizing of dissatisfaction or an
exercising of my "elitism"...i was just trying to say
something funny because i'm bored at work and other
people are too...

Re: [313] DEMF or what?

2002-02-12 Thread joshtwentythree
Well actually, there are going to be a lot of really
exciting things going on at the DEMF this year...first
off, there will be a group of "greeters" at the main
gate they are a group of highly trained howler monkeys
with a penchant for throwing poop...they will be
wearing t-shirts that say "demf posse in da hiz-ouse
muthafuckas" so you can easily spot them, they will
have great goodies to hand out, such as throwing poop
at you, and stuff with poop on it...also maybe some
things they were gnawing on...some of the top
performers will be regular detroit favorites such as
Lisa Lashes, Judge Jules, Paul Oakenfold and a
performance by 313 favorite, Moby...also a special
rare performance by dubiously named "godfather of
detroit techno"...Cat Stevens!...the master of
ceremony this year will be none other then the lovable
scamp carrot top, and a special speaker...TV's Bob
Saget!!! he will be regaling the crowd with anecdotes
of his early years growing up in the ghettos of
detroit...also, a new addition this year will be that,
instead of buying overpriced food from vendors, they
will actually be able to just knock you down, take
your wallet and smear some sort of food substance on
your face while asking "you like that bitch!"...so as
you can see the demf as a lot to offer this year.

[313] was:Re: [313] The use of Hitler's name is:SubGenius Story Time(sorry.)

2001-05-22 Thread joshtwentythree
Germany enters Hitler's pet shop.

Germany: 'Ello, I wish to register a complaint.

Hitler: We're closin' for lunch.

Germany: Never mind that, my lad. I wish to complain
about this Reich
what I purchased not nine years ago from this very
boutique.

Hitler: Oh yes, the, uh, the Thousand Year
Reich...What's, uh...What's
wrong with it?

Germany: I'll tell you what's wrong with it, my lad.
It's dead, that's
what's wrong with it!

Hitler: No, no, it's uh,...it's resting.

Germany: Look, matey, I know a dead Reich when I see
one, and I'm
looking at one right now.

Hitler: No no it's not dead, it's, it's restin'!
Remarkable Reich, the
Thousand Year, idn'it, ay? Beautiful uniforms!

Germany: The uniforms don't enter into it. It's stone
dead.

Hitler: Nononono, no, no! It's resting!

Germany: All right then, if it's restin', I'll wake it
up! (shouting at
the cage) 'Ello, Mister Thousand Year Reich! I've got
a lovely world for
you to rule if you show...

(Hitler hits the cage)

Hitler: There, it moved!

Germany: No, it didn't, that was you hitting the cage!

Hitler: I never!!

Germany: Yes, you did!

Hitler: I never, never did anything...

Germany: (yelling and hitting the cage repeatedly)
'ELLO REICHY!
Testing! Testing! Testing! Testing! This is your nine
o'clock alarm
call!

(Takes Reich out of the cage and thumps its head on
the counter. Throws
it up in the air and watches it plummet to the floor.)

Germany: Now that's what I call a dead Reich.

Hitler: No, no.No, it's stunned!

Germany: STUNNED?!?

Hitler: Yeah! You stunned it, just as it was wakin'
up! Thousand Year
Reichs stun easily, major.

Germany: Um...now look...now look, mate, I've
definitely 'ad enough of
this. That Reich is definitely deceased, and when I
purchased it not
nine years ago, you assured me that its total lack of
movement was due
to it bein' tired and shagged out following a
prolonged squawk.

Hitler: Well, it's...it's, ah...probably pining for
Nuremburg.

Germany: PININ' for NUREMBURG?!?!?!? What kind of talk
is that?, look,
why did it fall flat on its back the moment I got it
home?

Hitler: The Thousand Year Reich prefers keepin' on its
back! Remarkable
Reich, id'nit, squire? Lovely uniforms!

Germany: Look, I took the liberty of examining that
Reich when I got it
home, and I discovered the only reason that it had
been sitting on its
perch in the first place was that it had been NAILED
there.

(pause)

Hitler: Well, o'course it was nailed there! If I
hadn't nailed that
Reich down, it would have nuzzled up to those bars,
bent 'em apart, and
VOOM! Feeweeweewee!

Germany: "VOOM"?!? Mate, this Reich wouldn't "voom" if
you put four
million volts through it! It's bleedin' demised!

Hitler: No no! It's pining!

Germany: It's not pinin'! It's passed on! This Reich
is no more! It has
ceased to be! It's expired and gone to meet its maker!
It's a stiff!
Bereft of life, it rests in peace! If you hadn't
nailed it to the perch
it'd be pushing up the daisies! Its metabolic
processes are now 'istory!
It's off the twig! It's kicked the bucket, it's
shuffled off its mortal
coil, run down the curtain and joined the bleedin'
choir invisible!!
THIS IS AN EX-REICH!!

(pause)

Hitler: Well, I'd better replace it, then. (he takes a
quick peek behind
the counter) Sorry squire, I've had a look 'round the
back of the shop,
and uh, we're right out of Reichs.

Germany: I see. I see, I get the picture.

Hitler: I got a corporation.

(pause)

Germany: (sweet as sugar) Pray, does it rule the
world?

Hitler: Nnnnot really.

Germany: WELL IT'S HARDLY A BLOODY REPLACEMENT, IS
IT?!!???!!?

Hitler: Look, if you go to my mate's pet shop in
Italy, he'll replace
the Reich for you.

Germany: Italy, eh? Very well.

(The customer leaves.)

(The customer enters the same pet shop. The owner is
putting on a false
moustache.)

Germany: This is Italy, is it?

Hitler: (with a fake mustache) No, it's Moscow.

Germany: (looking at the camera) That's inter-city
rail for you.

ok here's what we do...well...it would be better if we
had some extra time to set this up, but time is of the
essence, first...we're gonna need a monkey...I know,
monkey are cliche...but this is neccesary...ok, so we
train the monkey over the next two weeks to be able to
pretend to be Carol Marvin...then when the time of the
demf nears we get a crack force of geeky techno
guys...i know...we're stretching a little bit
here...but -some- of us have to spend some time
outside, play basketbal or something, I'll need a show
of hands of people who have seen the sun and broken a
sweat because of moving in the last 6 months, we'll
use those guys to make the team...anyway. so we kidnap
Carol Marvin with our awesome team of geeky techno
guys and replace her with the monkey, I'm sure since
we're so close to the DEMF no one will notice,
hopefully the looking for lice in peoples hair will be
attributed to stress...so the carol monkey will give
said speeches which will consist of "ook ook" and "eek
eek" and hopefully some poop throwing...that would be
a plus, this will hopefully do some damage to her
reputationso we take Carol back to our secret
base...uh, any volunteers for a secret base?...and
make her watch Brady Bunch reruns and The Sound of
Music over and over again with the sound up loud while
playing Britney Spears "oops...I did it again" at the
same time, this coupled with Ubersamalian(did I get
that right) smith lip synching the whole time in
nothing but a g-string and some of those little nipple
tassles...these actions should in no time at all get
her to concede to our demands...what do you guys
think? I've put a lot of time into this idea...

yeah, you have to be careful in big cities...when I
was in detroit last...people were actually launching
themselves off of overpasses landing on the car and
trying to rob us as we drove down the
highway...although, lemme tell ya...someone yellin'
"GIMME SOME MONEY!!" from the hood of your car at
70mph is not as scary as you might think...;)

some of em just don't want to...this kid I know
Mike...he plays some awesome techno sets with two
decks and a 909...he never promotes himself...he plays
at a couple house parties for friends every once in a
while...doesn't get out at all...and he's
awesome...when asked why he says he just does it for
himself...I guess I'm just to egotistical to identify
with that...;)

Re: [313] attn: digital duds

2001-01-26 Thread joshtwentythree
man...I am getting so tired of this crap...people need
to get over their elitist complexes...I use vinyl, I
will always use vinyl, I -prefer- vinyl to other
mediums, I have used cd decks along with vinyl in
sets, if I wanted to do a cd set I would...it doesn't
matter what you use as long as you get the job
done...if the crowd was jumpin' when you did your
thing, then you did it right, and that should be the
end of the story, no one is better then anyone else
for any damn reason, everything has it's own
difficulty, everyone should just accept that and look
for the finished piece of "art" the performer is
putting forth, not how he does it, the end product is
what matters...

ooh...I picked that up on vinyl a couple weeks...I
think it's brilliant...there are only a couple tracks
on there that are really "techno" but it's all so
techy...another thing I like about it is it's kinda
smooth and organic but also crunchy and hard...yep.
I've been caning it..
