nice mix... and kudos on the mr fingerswhat a breath of fresh air
when so much garbage coming out.

Ever since the printing books became mad cheap, id say literature
suffered, why is it any different with 313 and 312 ? its not

PS

I would say watch out for shady, i mean Aidy from vinylunderground,
located here, http://www.vinylunderground.co.uk ... he ripped me off
when I ordered those limited rob hood and kdj recs on peacefrog some
years back, i ordered many copies for some friends and myself, a large
order, he never sent sh*t, finally sent me a couple of copies of each
and was begrudgingly sorry... a shameless thief.

very shadybut maybe he's only shady when he deals with americans
or when he can make a few extra bucks by ripping a foreigner
off...which makes it worse.

whatever.

I used him for a while, and then he messed up big timeall im
saying maybe it had to do with the fact that the recs i bought
were going for mad loot on ebay at that time (moodyman shattered
dreams etc..)

as for my other comment re music coming outi mean the volume of
tunes coming out is high, and quality control, low. thats why i feel
like my ears visited a spa, not that i know what thats about, when i
hear the mr fingers.

Aidy's service to me is so good I can't tell you about it or everyone would
want it! (seriously).

One thing though is I get the impression (not having ever called personally)
they're definitely a couple of guys who love music,
surrounded by heaps of records with passion to the fore as opposed to
Juno-efficient systems. So they can lose a record or find one
they didn't know they had occasionally etc. Might be frustrating on the odd
occasion but I like to deal with like-minded and nice
guys such as them, though I grant on occasion a more clinical transaction can
be what you need too.

Can you expand on your allegation that Aidy is a "shameless thief"? How did
he rip a foreigner off?

As far as I can tell from your posts, you ordered a number of copies of the
limited Peacefrog EPs and he didn't supply all the ones you wanted. Were
you charged for copies you did not receive?

I've been ordering records from Aidy for over 10 years and have never found
him anything other than extremely helpful and genuine. It's a shame your
experience was different and you chose to raise it on a public forum such as
this one.

RE: (313) P's Vinyl Underground Mix

2008-11-18 Thread Odeluga, Ken
I'm a 'for', on Vinyl Underground.

Even though it's been literally years since I ordered anything from
there [I should think about why, I don't really know] when I did, Aidy
was an excellent shopkeeper, and I remember kept me informed about my
order when things didn't got quite as expected.

I agree with what Rob just wrote too. The allegations seem exaggerated
and a bit unfair - potentially what happened was a misunderstanding
rather than anything sinister, it seems to me

a friend forwarded me a post from 313 which i was a bit surprised about

i do not remember the exact order etc...i'm sure i did mess you about as you
said , all i can remember about those limited peacefrog's is that they were
very limited & expensive (100% fault of the label) - we had a one per
customer policy on these things - so maybe we thought you were trying it on
a bit, a lot of people were trying to buy to sell on - we dont use ebay
much and i dont think we ever sold them there , so we'd never keep good
things like that back for that , just to sort out all our regulars.

i wont give you some false belated apology as i'm sure i apologised at the
time

we NEVER EVER charge for records we do not have in stock - 100% my business
policy - your confirmation would of said full amount as thats automated ,
but your credit card statement will show revised amount - obviously a
mistake could of happended but it hasnt yet in 15years and its too long ago
now to look into that.

i'm not shady , and if anything i treat USA customers better as they are
normally serious guys , what with having to pay more shipping etc! - that
was the thing i took offence too - record errors/shop mess ups do happen.

anyway just wanted to say that as the online/digital world can be full of a
lot of information/talk about people -

analog regards.

A response from Aidy.

Rob

a friend forwarded me a post from 313 which i was a bit surprised about

i do not remember the exact order etc...i'm sure i did mess you about as
you said , all i can remember about those limited peacefrog's is that
they were very limited & expensive (100% fault of the label) - we had a
one per customer policy on these things - so maybe we thought you were
trying it on a bit, a lot of people were trying to buy to sell on - we
dont use ebay much and i dont think we ever sold them there , so we'd
never keep good things like that back for that , just to sort out all
our regulars.

i wont give you some false belated apology as i'm sure i apologised at
the time

we NEVER EVER charge for records we do not have in stock - 100% my
business policy - your confirmation would of said full amount as thats
automated , but your credit card statement will show revised amount -
obviously a mistake could of happended but it hasnt yet in 15years and
its too long ago now to look into that.

i'm not shady , and if anything i treat USA customers better as they are
normally serious guys , what with having to pay more shipping etc! -
that was the thing i took offence too - record errors/shop mess ups do
happen.

anyway just wanted to say that as the online/digital world can be full
of a lot of information/talk about people -

analog regards.

just want to agree with what Francis said here, I only have great
experiences with Vinyl Underground and they are definitely in it for
the love of music. they push artists before Juno has even heard of
them and had the opportunity to undercut. they maybe lacking in 100%
professionalism and that's what happened here I would guess, rather
than cynically ripping people off

I think that it's great that we can have an open forum on the topic.

I've already expressed my opinion but I can't emphasise enough that
the customer service I get out of [EMAIL PROTECTED] is always 100% professional.

I can order one day and my records get with me the next (this is
regularly too). If they're not in he never charges and when they do
come in and I've emailed him some wants it's all tallied up and sent
correctly.

I suspect in the case of / there's been some mixed communication but
those records listed were exceptionally rare, expensive and the demand
at the time was beyond the pale...

Ive had nothing but quality service..as have the peoples from overseas i
have told. Theres a chance it might not have been aidy sorting it out,
or you were just very very unlucky and hit things at a bad time..

i dunno..

I would say watch out for shady, i mean Aidy from vinylunderground,
located here, http://www.vinylunderground.co.uk ... he ripped me off
when I ordered those limited rob hood and kdj recs on peacefrog some
years back, i ordered many copies for some friends and myself, a large
order, he never sent sh*t, finally sent me a couple of copies of each
and was begrudgingly sorry... a shameless thief.

very shadybut maybe he's only shady when he deals with americans
or when he can make a few extra bucks by ripping a foreigner
off...which makes it worse.

whatever.
