Yes, it's Bizz O.D. (Khan, nowadays) :

http://www.discogs.com/release/10588

Or on a cuter 10 with different b-sides (the one I used to own):

http://www.discogs.com/release/32519

GEMM lists these 4 places that have it in stock! Thought it'd be
harder to find on wax today.

http://www.gemm.com/search/artist/BIZZ-O-D-/BIZZ--O.D./I'M--COMING--OUT--OF--YOUR--SPEAKERS/12-q-/

It's also integrally on the Rauschen #8 compilation on Force Inc, if
you need a digital version:

Re: [313] Plus 8 Classics

2000-11-10 Thread Craig Stodolenak

as far as I know, the Plus 8 comp exists in two formats :
- double CD, through Novamute, 22 tracks
- triple CD, minus 8, with more tracks and extra stuff including Oldham's
comic
I'd like to purchase the second, but only find the first... could anyone
point me to an online record shop with it ?

Novamute's 2xCD is a subset of the Plus 8 three CD series, and as
Gwendal pointed out, it doesn't contain the comic book or Matthew
Hawtin print. You can get the Plus 8 versions online at
http://www.recordtime.com.

Ticketmaster but they're everywhere and they handle refunds

right now we felt this was the best way to service both local

Even though i'm not from US i decided to have a go at
the plus 8 comp. I ended up spending quite a bit of
time on it. Unfortunatly i have been unable to upload
my track to the site. I have tried everything and i
can't see why everytime i try it comes up with
 something saying

Error sending request to server, com.ms.dll.Win32
exeption: connection with server was recet

Connection reset by peer indicates a timeout between you and
the server you want to send data to. I see this mostly when
you are trying to get to a busy host.

Four days ago i sent a help email to acid: no reply.
So i was hoping somebody here might be able to help
 me.
I got an email response to a question about a week after the fact.

Re: [313] Plus 8 Redux contest

2000-10-10 Thread Phonopsia
Thanks. :) I just checked out the DJ Revolver The Future's History and
it's bloody groovy. and epic. It almost sounds like a +8 megamix to me, but
it's so well put together and it moves around so well. If I'm not mistaken,
something like this certainly can't be accomplished in Acid Express alone -
not that it has to be.

So far there are three categories of remixes I've heard:

Kent and Christian - wave manipulation to create something totally unlike
the original
Me - ala Bassment Jaxx early remixing, cut, mutate and rearrange the bits
chaotically
Revolver - Megamix, very faithful to the originals in a very new mix

It looks like Kent, Christian and I gotta go back to the drawing board if we
intend to compete with this... I have a new one in the works that's
completely devoid of reference to the originals. All of this makes me wonder
if they had anything in mind in particular, or if they wanted to leave it as
a totally open slate to see what happens. I would assume the latter.

Subject: [313] Plus 8 Redux contest

Since the Plus 8 contest is open only to Americans, according to the rules
stated at http://www.acidplanet.com/plus8/, I to put decided to put
together
my own 13 minute track composed strictly from Plus 8's downloadable loops.
The track is described as a journey through Plus 8 from a dj/producer's
point of view. From minimal to extreme intensity and back with plenty of
tension and mystery in between.

Download it at: http://www.acidplanet.com/Lounge/SongDetail.asp?PID=42515
**play it very loud for best results

Maybe our good friends at Plus 8 will allow a fellow Windsorite join the
competition.

Also check out the fine Plus 8 competition tracks by Christian Bloch and
Phonopsia from 313 at:
http://www.acidplanet.com/Lounge/Browse/ContestNew.asp?C=90Page=1G=T=0.7

**ps - christian - i checked out your mp3.com site - beautiful tracks.

peace,
djr
