Good to hear of some more Metroplex goodness. It's definitely worth the wait it seems. I for one am in need of a new Metroplex shirt.

Yeah. Hopefully more information will be forthcoming in the days leading up to movement. I'm wondering out loud if the news of this release got buried in the announcement of Mr. Dixon's pending retirement from the dance music game? Full disclosure,  I'm being selfish, I want more quality music from all that are either involved, or yet to be involved with this wonderful thing we call techno.

You speak the truth. All in all, I'm glad the label is back!

I really need a new Metroplex shirt as the old one died many years back.

Re: (313) New Metroplex

2011-11-05 Thread DB

Hi Patrick!
  There was a recent Model 500 released on R & S:

http://www.discogs.com/Model-500-OFI-Remixes/release/2717435

&

http://www.discogs.com/Model-500-OFI-Huesca/master/281013

I would have thought myself, that they would want to "restart" the label
with a "bang". While I do
like the new Metroplex release, for my own pidgeon holes that I put
music into, it doesn't sound like

a Metroplex release to me.

I personally would have waited for the upcoming Model 500 Album that is
discussed here:

http://www.residentadvisor.net/news.aspx?id=15139

to start off the label with. That would have had a bigger "bang". But
everybody runs their label their

own way :)

Cheers from the P-Town...

I fully appreciate that an artist / label shouldn't feel constrained by the
hopes & wishes of the masses but in cases like this i just wish they'd
start fresh with a new label & leave its reputation in tact. I don't know,
techno music by definition should always be moving forward but i can't help
feel disappointed.

It doesn't sound like Detroit Techno. It's closer to some of the more
experimental stuff at the fringes of dance music. It isn't bad, per

I try my own work, to try to find rhythms I find compelling and
