Didn't Kenny Larkin sample Star Tek in one of his records?

I'm looking for musicians from all other genres too.

Particularly useful would be tips on specific releases, lyrics, samples or

How about on UR's Galaxy 2 Galaxy (UR-25)?
Track c1: Deep Space 9 (a brother runs this ship)
out.

UR have used some Star Trek samples and a picture of Mr Spock used to be on
a Submerge record inlay. I think Mad Mike is quite a Star Trek fan :)

Hi Tom,

Funny thing to ask. I interviewed Jay Denham a couple of weeks ago and he
admitted he used to be a 'science fiction nut'. Quote: I wanted to be
Captain Kirl so bad. Maybe you should get in touch with him on the subject.

Aux88 has a sample of 'The Borg' in Xeo Genetic. Pretty cool. I'm a fan (not
a real Trekkie) myself and I'm fascinated by The Borg. In fact they are my
worst nightmare. With all the cloning and technological progress going on
this is the kinda of thing that might result from it in the (far) future.
Not a very pleasant thought right?

I'll try to think of more.
Did you use to write for Magic Feet? I really liked that mag; it was the
best around, but I've heard it stopped...

I think it was in the second Star Trek movie (where Spock dies) that
featured the sample the needs of the many outweight the needs of the few.
That's a classic UR-sample and motto.

That's sampled at the beginning of UR's The Theory.

Somewhere in the middle of the track there is another sample from a
female scientist talking about the genesis effect, that's another Star
Trek Sample, both sample are from 'The Wrath of Kahn'I think

Tom,

There is a band/group called S.P.O.C.K. that is obviously very influenced
by Star Trek. I believe that they are Scandinavian and you should be able
to find mucho information about them from the web. They performed at the
Labyrinth in Detroit about 6-8 months ago.

well, what to say. i visited two weeks ago the star trek exposition in
rotterdam.

it was in holland for some months, don't know where it's actually now

together with a friend i was actually beamed up! really cool, we had to
bounce some crystals. (really, i'm not talking shit here) it was the nicest
part of the exposition, together with old suits being exposed. the rest was
somewhat childish

a pity were the prices in the start trek shop, videos, posters etc but also
including crew clothes, are really ridicoulous expensive.

but it sure was fun

for all dutch, star trek is everyday at net5, and weekly on sat on ned1

Speaking of the Lowlands - Star trek connection, I'm sure that Speedy J's
Beam Me Up! label has something to do with it. He also has a track by the
same name on his Ginger LP.

There's also a direct reference to Star Trek in Dark Comedy's (Kenny Larkin)
classic War of the Worlds 12 on Transmat - track called Corbomite Manouvre,
which was a Captain Kirk tactical specialty.

BTW Marsel, how were you beamed up? Details?
