hehe... one of the tracks I've rediscovered is Praga Khan's Injected with a poison... only tracks by these guys I know of ; early commercial acid, I know, but extremely well done... have these guys released other interesting stuff, or were they just a one-off ? Gwendal there's also Rave alarm, which was also released as Rave Alert, typical ravesound of early nineties... but. these guys are also Lords of Acid - who's Take Control is excellent track. later on they have been doing sort of industrial-meets-pop-meets-something sort of stuff, which, at least, i don't like. sakke - To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

RE: [313] Put A New Ear On.
I recently 'rediscovered' the first 7th Plain album (4 Cornered Room), and it really brought back memories - listening to Stasis and Phenomyna records, posting to the idm list - hearing tracks like Seeing Sense (my favourite on the album), Surface Bound, Astra-Naut-E etcetera. Very nice music - very emotional at the same time, in a way that you don't get with hardly any of his more recent tracks. I'm currently 'rediscovering' a lot of stuff from the early 90s - you can't beat a good bout of 'idm' when you're feeling stressed-out :) Brendan | -Original Message- | From: info [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] | Sent: 21 March 2002 11:59 | | do you mean 7th plain on gpr? | | - Original Message - | From: Fabrizio Nahum [EMAIL PROTECTED] | To: 313@hyperreal.org | Sent: 21 March, 2002 12:17 PM | Subject: Re: [313] Put A New Ear On. | | | | i am enthusiastic to hear of other members' encounters with the | rediscovery event | | I just recently discovered Luke Slaters 7th Rain | | fab. | | | | | - | To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] | For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] | | | | - | To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] | For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] | Legal Disclaimer This message contains confidential information and is intended only for the individual named. I've got Rave Alarm by them. Good? Maybe back in '91 - still fun(ny) to listen to on a rare occasion. Afterwards though, you have to coax the cats to come out from under the bed with a bit of canned tuna and some catnip. Re: [313] Put A New Ear On.
i am enthusiastic to hear of other members' encounters with the rediscovery event Some stuff I have come across in my own collection in the last year or so... Total Planet Refreshment Birds of Pressure Kanzleramt KA 10 (tweaky Heiko Laux stuff from '96.) Ron Maney Cari Lekebusch Intensity Hybrid Hyb 016 (another track from 96...B side is brilliant.) Black Mass Black Mass Foundation Sound Works FD 001 (yet another one from '96! Double pack of nice Tribal Techno cuts.) Pure Science The Evolution EP Re-Hab Music RHB 003 (Totally forgot about this one until I came across it about year ago in a stack of records from, you guessed it... '96. I have been offered $500 for this one by a certain big name NYC jock...I like it way too much to sell though. Prototypical Tech House - the good kind that is;-) Syndromeda Minimal Damage Vol 1 Club Craft Club 08 (another one from that '96 stack! Nice minimal Mills-ish stuff from Justin Drake and Clive Henry before they became Peace Division...really nice stuff.) This thread has inspired me to do the yearly run through of the collection...be nice if I could unearth some more forgotten treasure... i am enthusiastic to hear of other members' encounters with the rediscovery event. I go through this with 80's-era Tangerine Dream records about once every 2 years. Re: [313] Put A New Ear On.
It's always a fun journey, isn't it? Even though techno represents a small percentage of what I have on vinyl, most of what I have is back from the early 90's (and mainly from Europe). I have a couple of white label pressings from Rabbit City Records that I loved to play back in the day... the ones I have are simply labeled Rabbit City 1, Rabbit City 3 and one or two others as well that I can't remember off the top of my head. Those make for great personal flashbacks. :) Another one I love to blow the dust off of on occasion is an import on Rhythm Records (Amsterdam, I think) called Windows by SIL. M. Closer to home, another one from a few years back is Pullover by Speedy J, although it's not really a flashback since I've never quit spinning it. ;) Matt E-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Web Site: http://www.magicmattkelly.com - Original Message - From: Lee Herrington [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: 313@hyperreal.org Sent: Wednesday, March 20, 2002 4:16 PM Subject: [313] Put A New Ear On. hi folks. RE: [313] Put A New Ear On.
Ahh Windows...I think both sides of that record were pretty dope. I believe it was Amsterdam too...speaking of Holland, some 'Touche' releases from the early/mid 90's weren't too bad neither... The Rabbit City's were fun to play with, along with the kinda unmarked ones with the drawn robot head that had the light beam purtruding from the forehead. Oh, and what was that 'Rising High' record with the baby's voice? JB -Original Message- From: Matthew L.
