I thought it might have been from mindwar, but after a listen to the 
vinyl I don't think it was that - and not horsepower either. I'd have to 
guess mentasm by second phase or one of the dominator remixes. so many 
tracks had this sound in them!

On second listen this does not sound like Billie's version, nor is it Ella.
Unfortunately, "Lover Man" has been recorded by every female Jazz vocalist
you can name.  The search continues...

Ha!  It is Jamie Foxx!  I was watching his special on BET or Comedy years
ago and all of a sudden he starts making fun of these RnB guys and how they

There's an old Red Nail track from around '94 that samples a track that says
"I'm spasticus... spasticus", and it counters it with a female vocal that
sings "hy". Could this be it? One of my favorite tracks from that
time. It's very busy with loads of percussion, and at least a two minute
intro before the bass kicks if that helps at all.

Ages ago I asked if anyone knew who had sampled Brainstorm's "Hot For You"
apart from MK ("Feel The Fire") and also, who'd sampled "Spasticus
Autisticus". I just remembered it's Balihu on Dig It that sampled the latter
(a great 12" btw, especially for the flip's organ business) so I beat you
all with my trainspotting truncheon (ooer). Somebody please be equal to me
in this battle and tell me what the first one is because it is really really
annoying me and has done for months.

Hello think tank,

I'm looking for the track which was first sampled (that I know of) by Johnny 
Fiasco on his Cajual EP in the track 'Get Up' (The label on the vinyl says 
Funkies Funk 2, but I think they got the order wrong), the same EP also 
contains 'Conduction'. That very same sample is now not used but abused in the 
club hit 'IntroD' by Alan Braxe/Fred Falke.
