[AI] Query regarding transferring files from Mobile to the computer
Dear friends: warm wishes to all. I have a doubt to ask. I have a collection of messages that I would like to copy to my PC and save. Is it possible to do? While connecting my mobile phone to the computer via USB, I am unable to locate the message contents in my phone in the system. What may be the reason? Would be highly appreciate if any one of you respectable members give your valuable guidance. Tanks in anticipation. With regards. Hari. Re: [AI] she needs your help.
Hello every one: This mail is obviously a spam message. In her mail she clearly stated that she is connected with AOL, if it is true, the sender is from Gmail account. Inspite of these; how can a person get the money if he forwards this mail to others? So therefore, This is obviously a spam message. So don't reply. I am not comparing priorities. All issues affecting disabled merit a genuine striving, however, I can surely say that railways, education, and such other problems do affect substantially more number of disabled individuals than, say, air travel and share trading, which are the domain of a few elite. Moreover, the people affected by former issues, unlike those affected by later ones, are not capable themselves to raise a whimper, let alone fight a battle with authorities. Something like the dharna I had planned against Nasscom and so many accessindians had agreed to be there. Please do not compare priorities if someone wants to fight DGCA let them. do not think that one is more than the other. We all have the right to choose our battles. Last week in response to my email on the Database someone did tell me that we should be fighting against the coins problem rather than wasting money on a database. . Why could not that person take up the challenge himself and fight against the coins issue and let me choose my battle. Why does everyone think that others are there to fight these battles.Lets fight them for ourselves and for the benfit of others. I chose to fight the NSDL or the Banks problem no one forced me to do them. On the coins issue I had written a mail about a month ago. After that there was complete silence because everyone realised that they did not want to take the lead. Yes the railways is a problem. I am going to take up about 3 of those many problems after I finish some basic work on the database and on the scribes issue. Also the problems of the physiotherapist need to be looked into urgently. Well, I am sorry, but I guess this is one of the 100.000 mails, getting through the internet. I actually wouldn't mind to be inlightened, about how this works, with forwards, means, do I have to put the e-mails I am sending to, plus, leave the e-mails it had been previously forwarded to, so that they can keep track of how many times those 15 cents should go into the poor's account? All the more, what about the virus spredding? When there are innummerable mails into a forward, how many ppl will have the pacience to read the message itself, especially among us, using jaws? Who and how 1 keeps track of the number of forwards sent via internet? Dear Reader I am a single mother of four kids: ages five, three and a half, 17 months, and a two week old baby girl. God has blessed me with three beautiful, healthy children. Until recently, things were going great for us even though we struggled financially at times (my part-time job was not enough to support us). Then, the tragedy struck on January 13th. My oldest, Matt, got hit by a car while playing outside. ( The driver was never found - it was a hit and run). After agonizingly long weeks of hospitalization, we did not think he would live but thank God he is alive right now ... but barely. He is still in the hospital in a comatose condition. Doctors say he will be a vegetable for the rest of his life, if he ever comes out of the coma - his brain is too damaged for him to live a normal life. My insurance coverage ran out and I can't afford the hospital bills. Right now, I own the hospital over 500,000 dollars so far. Shortly after the accident happened, my 87-year-old grandmother, with whom I was really close (she raised me as a child), suffered a stroke and could not live on her own anymore.. I took her in. All of this happened while I was pregnant with Carissa. Therefore, this severe stress that I've been through caused Carissa to be born a premie with Down's syndrome as well as chronic colitis. She is also missing fingernails on her right hand. She is in the hospital as well because she needs to be monitored 24/7. Right now I am at the lowest point of my life. I don't have a job. I'm taking care of three sick family members that are so dear to me, and it is a full time job. I can't afford to pay for my tiny apartment. My car got taken away because I couldn't make the payments, not to mention the debt with a hospital! I know you are not obligated to do anything. You are free to delete this email without giving it a second thought, but please listen to the cry from a mother's heart! Re: [AI] just think
Hi, I think, association you mentioned is ability foundation. I don't know more about ability foundation, but I made extensive study about many other organizations located around different part of India. Most of them are safely handling black money in the name of charity, or obtaining tax exemptions for some of the business magnates. Usually they keep an enclosed system on the area of financial transactions, and consider blind people as dogs or third rate individuals. In Kerala, there are two such associations are running, one located at Eranakulam and other located at Thiruvananthapuram. I agree, certainly some associations are genuine. If you observe them carefully, you can identify, some way they are closely related with some kind of disabilities. regards On 6/20/2009 11:00 AM, raghuraman kalyanaraman wrote: it may be true in a very few cases.. but as as our friend said one instance cannot charecterise the whole. in fact an association in tamilnadu has so far made many drastic changes in the lives of the visually challenged. but this does not mean that i am the spokes person of that association. my point is simple that each individual should share responsibility and should involve in concrete activities rather than speaking a lot. moreover we must understand the reality that only when we become a unified force we could not only uplift our community but also we could be a part and parcel of the main stream. so friends just think . regards raghu. [AI] Move to develop curriculum for disability studies
Move to develop curriculum for disability studies Staff Reporter NEW DELHI: Accusing the University Grants Commission of a lackadaisical attitude towards development of disability studies as an academic discipline, the Society for Disability and Rehabilitation Studies has constituted a 17-member non-official core group to develop a model curriculum for disability studies. It will be chaired by Dr. G. N. Karna. The group has been set up to develop and formulate syllabi for various programmes in disability studies. It will submit its report within six months to the Society, which in turn will submit it to President Pratibha Patil and the Union Human Resource Development Minister. The HRD Ministry recognised disability studies as an academic discipline in September 2005. According to the Society, the HRD Ministry directed the UGC to extend support to universities and colleges in setting up special departments or centres for disability studies and also to institute a Rajiv Gandhi Chair in Disability Studies in each Central university. The Society alleged that the UGC had not yet started the first stage of constituting the model curriculum development committee for disability studies. http://www.thehindu.com/2009/06/21/stories/2009062159160400.htm Vikas Kapoor, MSN Id:dl_vi...@hotmail.com, YahooSkype Id: dl_vikas, Mobile: (+91) 9891098137.
